Live Zoom Worship service 23rd of July 2021

Here are some of the lessons i learnt during the live worship service that took place in Zoom on the 23rd of July 2021.

During the service, bro daniel spoke on 2 different kind of wisdom; the earthly wisdom and the wisdom that comes from above.
Ecclesiastics 13:15 I applied my mind to study and to explore by wisdom all that is done under the heavens.(A) What a heavy burden God has laid on mankind!(B) 14 I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
Earthly wisdom leads to evil, like the love of money, the lustful love of sex, they tend to be meaningless. There are many sorrows that comes with loving things that are earthly, greed, envy jealousy etc. We can see this in
1 timothy 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
We can also find more references from
John 8:44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

This is the difference between wisdom that are earthly and wisdom that is from above. Those who possesses the wisdom from God are contended with what they have and they also know the secret of all things because they possess the wisdom from above. Daniel is a good example, Our Lord Jesus is also a good example, the Apostles and many more from the Bible can be shown to have possessed wisdom from above.

1 Corinthians 10:6 Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did.
From the above verse we can see that there are things we ought to set our heart upon and there are this we ought to stay away from because the Devil know that there are people who would choose to obey him.
So Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.

We are been urged by God to choose life and we shall be rewarded by Him,
Isaiah 1:19 If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land.
We can only be obedient if we have the spirit of endurance. Having those qualities would pay off as a Christian and we can see this from
James 5:11 We give great honor to those who endure under suffering. For instance, you know about Job, a man of great endurance. You can see how the Lord was kind to him at the end, for the Lord is full of tenderness and mercy.

There is a path God has ordained for us to walk and if we follow it, there are blessings on the way and in the end. Thanks for reading through.
