Originally the first man and first woman GOD created you will notice that their is something GOD commanded them.

Genesis 2:16-17 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

The Garden of Eden is an ectal every tree and fruits in the Garden thou may freely eat.it implies that Adam has a free choice even if it is prohibited to him but he his aware that he can eat part of it the provision is you must not eat out of the tree which implies that the first man and woman are to choose obedience to GOD or disobedience.
The hearing is loving,kindness GOD does not want us to lost if we going to choose want against his will,we will be penalized
