Rain - TRAVEL CONTEST #9 and winners from CONTEST #7

Hi, lovers of travel and photography!

You are kindly invited to take part in edition #9 of TRAVEL CONTEST and the theme today is "Rain" :)

Yes, I know, to take photographs when it rains is a bit challenging but such photos have some added pinch of uniqueness, haven't they? :)
Feel free to interpret the theme in every way you like, I hope to inspire more people to join this edition of the contest!

  1. One entry per person.
  2. To enter, upload your photo(s) and text into the comment section below. There's no need to create a separate post.
  3. In order to be considered, an entry should consist of at least one photo and your personal story/info/memory.
  4. All the photos you use to enter the contest must be your own and taken by yourself.
  5. All the text you enter must be written by yourself.
  6. Deadline: One week starting from the datetime of the contest announcement.
  7. No NSFW content.

  • One Winner will be set as 40% beneficiary of the post including the winners announcement.
  • One Honorable Mention will be set as 10% beneficiary of the post including the winners announcement.

Rain - Travel Contest #9 here is my entry...

It's raining and I do not have a rain coat so I just recycled, I used garbage bag cut the center so my neck can go through and at sides for my arms to pass through. I love the result it protected mg dress from the rain. No more wet clothes.

Here is my entry for Contest #9

It was clicked on 15 july 2021. In june and july we usually have rainy seasons in Pakistan. As you can see on the right side I am siting and on the left side my friend is siting. How is it related to rain, you may ask? After rain started because of poor management of K-electric, we have to deal with power shutdown. Me and my friend enjoyed raining weather for 2 hours. When ever I feel cold weather, I always eat ice-cream but my friend forced me to have Chai-Paratha on a dhabba. Dhabba is a place from where we can have Tea (its like coffee but different) and paratha is like bread.

Now as you can see, we tired souls enjoying hot cup of tea with Paratha after enjoying rain for 2 hours.

Just for the sake of sharing and engaging. I'd like to share a photo I took one night, waiting for my son to get off work. The rain was slowly coming down... just as the sun was setting. I thought it made a very cool capture... and this was inside the car, so it gave it an extra awesome surreal effect.

This picture was taken in my old office. The rain was so heavy and windy, made some diagonal direction of water droplets outside the window. Dark sky and foggy atmosphere caused some distant buildings were barely visible. It was noon but it looked like early morning or dusk.

I photographed this scenery in one of the parks in Geneva during my sort trip in 2018.
A few days of this trip were rainy and the weather was very nice during the whole trip.
