Aerial view of New York and the Island of Manhattan with the Hudson river to the left. Over 1.6 million people call the Island of Manhattan home. You can see the statue of liberty in the foreground on Liberty island. New York, USA.

I love NYC. Took this shot from the window of an airplane obviously. Recently sold a copy on Stocksy (via Adobe Premium Partner Collection). I always wonder what it's going to be used for ? You never know with stock.

You can see my collection up on Stocksy. It's an amazing co-op so that all profits are distributed back to members giving you fair prices for your work rather than lining shareholder pockets and paying contributors pennies.

I'm not really a city person but I've always wanted to visit NYC. It's just so intriguing.

It's an epic city. Not sure I could live there for very long but amazing place to spend some time.

Every time I see shots like this all I can really think is how BIG those cities are O_O

Have you ever encountered any of your stock photos in the wild?

I used to sell direct commercially from my website. But it was too time consuming. Now I just sell prints from the website and stocksy deals with commercial side of it for me. One advantage of the old way is you got to talk to the clients etc and so knew what it was being used for. I have sold some shots to Parks Tasmania and they have used them for some lookout plaques; which is very cool to stand at the same lookout you took the shot and see your photo.

Wow. I'm from Albany New York and have seen that image many times out the side of an airplane window. But I've never seen it captured so nicely. Great shot. I'm spending some more time these days reorganizing who I'm gonna support with my up-votes and decided to throw you on that good old auto voter. I really don't have much time for curation so that works be for me. You do great posts and I notice you have supported my novice photography which I really appreciate.

Keep up the excellent blog and have a great day!
