My normal life was not that exciting before the world broke. Honest. Yet. It was my life. Over the last months, I have missed my normal non-exciting life. I never thought I would say that, yet, it is true.

Husbands

It is amazing how much room a person takes up when they are home 24/7. Between him sneaking outside to smoke. Stopping in the kitchen to grab another cup of coffee. Making his lunch while using every pot and pan in the kitchen. Leaving a trail of crumbs behind him as he heads back upstairs to work. The list goes on and on...

In a day, I went from being alone fourteen hours a day to never be home alone. I am finding it extremely hard to relax or concentrate on anything productive with all the (white) noise.

This has been a great trial run for when he retires. I am making the list each day on what changes will take place next time he is home not working 24/7. He will be able to find the dishwasher is at the top of the list! 😹

He will not be buying fifteen bananas that all go ripe at the same time so I have to make banana bread, cake, muffins, and mystery banana surprise. Though I have found 3 AM to be a very peaceful time to bake. Once done the kitchen gets one last cleaning before I sleep. I tend to linger in the kitchen a little longer just to enjoy everything in its place for a short time.

Selfcare

On my quest to take better care of myself I found a fun subscription box that makes me very happy. BoxyCharm has been my gift for the last three months. The box comes with five full-size beauty products. I have been extremely lucky in all the boxes I have gotten so far.

I love makeup. I missed getting new makeup over the last ten years. A few months ago I decided it was time for me to finally do something for myself and not feel guilty about it.

I watched a lot of beauty-related subscription unboxings to get a good idea of what you could expect to come in the mail each month. With BoxyCharm I have not been disappointed yet.

To be fair, I am the best customer they could want! I love makeup and do not own any that is under ten years old. Anything they could send me, makeup-wise is going to make me pretty darn happy.
