Plug Into Community - What Does It Mean?

I was talking a lot of times about this topic, or at least about a similar one... The "onboarding problem" was present from the beginning of our old blockchain, and it is still one of the problems... But, believe me, it was much worse in the past...

But, that is just a problem of "creating an account", finding out about this awesome place, having enough RC (resource credits) to create, etc... Besides this problem, we have another one that shows its face when a brand new member HAS created an account and he is here...

It's like the birth of a baby... The first couple of hours and days are the most important in the life of a baby... It sounds incredible, but if you are a parent, you probably know what that means... Baby can feel your heart beats when you holding it, and it usually has a "calming effect"...

Okay, I'm getting too dramatic... Let's get back to the social network aspect... When you come to the network you are probably alone, and you feel kind of lost... To not lose valuable time (and your motivation, "hype effect"), the best thing is to find some community of your interest and try to plug into it! But, what that mean?

It means that you search the network for your interests... As the network is huge, you will probably find a ton of material about the topic that you like... Now, it is the time to take some time and read/watch that content... to "consume" it...

When you finish reading some post and you found it interesting, take some time to make a comment! I would say that this is CRUCIAL for YOU (even more than for the author), as this is your STARTING point on the social network... This ACTION is your ENTRANCE TICKET for the community...

After doing that with your FIRST post, repeat it EVERY time :) It's simple as that... When you are ready, create your first post... And if you have already commented on other's posts, there is a much better chance that you will receive some comments on YOUR post!

Check out the video for some other views about this topic...

Thank you for your valuable time,

~ph~

As usual, such a great video! I feel the same. A truly supportive community (or even circle of friends) you can count on really makes a difference. It can help empower you when you need it & as you mentioned, you can celebrate the good times & help in the bad. Sometimes that one person can make such an impact on your life in ways you'd never imagine.

I am grateful we have such a great caring community & I have had the chance to make some wonderful connections.

Thanks for talking about this. Keep inspiring others as you always do. 💗❤️

Thank you, Jenn... We are all grateful for these awesome connections that we have made...

I just remembered how I felt when I have bumped to the SteemSavvy discord back in the days... I didn't know WHAT is my purpose there, but I knew that I am on the RIGHT place... :)

Thank you for support every-single-person in this community!

I have to say that there are not many communities even on Hive that come close to CTP. I feel that the readiness to help and support each other is just exemplary. It's a perfect place to start your journey...

Exactly! But, we can't just fall asleep... We have to watch our community, grow it, and continue with everyday work of keeping it active and vibrant!

Thanks for your comment and engagement... You are a very important part of this community!

It's great when we are contagious to each other... I see Erik or Jon, and I know that I have to push more... And when I see your posts, I know that I have to raise the quality of my posts :)

Exactly... it is a two-way street... You have to WANT to be a part of the community and step-in... the rest is just magic... :)

It's more fun being in the community that you like. You get to other people better. You can learn a lot and help you to do better. You explained it very well in this video, my friend. Thank you @ph1102 for sharing this.
