January Daily Vlog #9: Are You Following Me on LBRY? CommUnity Share Fest Was Epic!
Hello there beautiful humans!
If you're not on LBRY yet... what's up? Decentralized, blockchain content platform (mostly videos, but plenty of ebooks & music as well), that is simple & easy to use. (unlike HIVE, which I still can't get most people to use because of the steep learning curve)
Did I mention that original content creators all get paid in LBRY Credits (LBC)? They're currently sitting around $0.09 each, up from 2 cents for quite a while, with a peak at $1.25 back in 2018. I'm not sure exactly how the earnings-per-view is calculated, but I'm currently getting about .85 LBC PER VIEW on my videos.
Of course, there's basically nobody seeing my videos :-P
My fault largely; back when I started on the platform I promoted my channel on other social media platforms and got up to 50 followers in a week or so... and then found out about their YouTube Partner Program, where it ports all your old YT videos over, but that meant starting my channel over... and now, 3 months later, I have 19 followers. Oops.
