Up In The Snowy Mountains, Mass Producing Guerrilla Propaganda - January Daily Vlog #10
(Edited)
I made a video a few days back about the White Rose, a decentralized, global activist group. The White Rose focuses primarily on Guerilla Propaganda in the form of stickering. There's a Telegram channel where anybody can grab the (almost 100) designs for free, as well as the printer & sticker rolls needed to make your own.
@wearechange-co picked up one of these printers the other day, and I printed off around 350 stickers to give away at Share Fest. We got enough donations in to buy two more rolls of sticker paper, so I've been printing those off for the last couple of hours.
We moved up to a friend's cabin in the mountains outside of Boulder today, great change of scenery, so much quieter, but good lord is it cold!

Stickering is a fascinating idea. It literally takes just one, short, pungent message to trip someone's brain into a new way of considering things. The thing I like about stickering is that it grabs people when they are unaware - that fertile mental ground when our resistance is caught napping.
Nice to see you starting the New Year advocating, being proactive and being the change.
Hugs from Chiang Mai. x
Exactly! It's one of the few ways that breaks through the algorithms & echo chambers (same reason I always have an inspiring shirt on)
Sending love and gratitude for you sister!

Nice!
I used to love drawing onto a4-sized sheets of label sticker paper and stick them onto areas. Ended up creating a dialogue with an anonymous artist this way. We would stick messages on random topics to each other every week or so.
Have you thought about printing QR codes onto stickers?
That's pretty awesome! I'm definitely hoping to get a small team/group going on some of this, creating our own designs, etc.
I've done QRs a few times - never seemed to have anyone look at them. I want to put together some full poster-sized flyers with something like "Have you seen my privacy & freedom?" then QRs for Brave, Telegram, LBRY, etc.
Let me know how you go with creating a team. You said the magic word to pique my interest: team.
Having a bit of a digital detox at the moment as it's been a horifically chaotic start to the year that's fraught with the sanity of those around me (and me!) losing their minds. Something about the New year not promising any new beginnings or betterment in the world is making the worlds of business and emotion overlap and schism seismically.
I can't go back to 2020 and make sense of my new place in this Insane new world for 2021. This year we need a team to work together, bolster each other up when we are low, brainstorm & inspire each other when we are empty & form a new type of decentralized consciousness which works towards progress for the good of us all.
