It was almost a couple of years back when someone actually forwarded this smartphone recording of myself freestyling with DJ Wilf, the guy with the big cheesy smile playing on the vinyl mixing desks from the Master Cats DJ's who are a local group of 4 vinyl DJ's I would normally have the pleasure of entertaining with this time of year.
The bar here is called "The Tontine Beer Garden" and over the last 7 years we have performed here about three times a year over the summer period from 3pm till midnight.
I got a lot of love and respect for this guy who now at 62 has been DJing strictly Vinyls for 40 years and he's all about the music. Never talks bad of anyone and at his 60th I witnessed over 450 turn up to his birthday bash! I have admit i said to myself if on my 60th birthday, half that amount of people came to support me then I've done something good in life.
I've labelled my friend Wilf, "The Godfather of the mastercats. His knowledge of music is awesome and he'll play reggae, soul, jazz, funk, latino, house and a lot more and he's also the man that I first started to perform with locally before my entertaining passion started to take off and the variation of what he plays has really helped me to devlop my improvisiation.
Like a lot of tunes this was a first on the spot go with the flow and really if i'm singing that tune in my head i'm playing it and at the time no one even knows that it isn't a rehearsed set and it never is.
We always have a great time and as the evening sets in the beer garden gets quite full and the vibe reaches the next level.
I'm totally missing been out there in the clubs, the weddings and parties because of this lockdown but this week im back at the studio and hive has inspired a new drive for me to go and introduce other talent which this week I've started to spread the word so if you didn't see my promo trailer at 3speak please check it out at https://hive.blog/hive-181335/@clivemartin/odmiqhjd
I'm still very new at this and in the near future I want to host a few virtual nightclub live streams so I am also interested in networking with other DJ's here and any artist that can create beats so if you like a bit of sax in your life

Great stuff man! Soon and we'll be able to enjoy music, am pretty sure we'll have Corona under control without a second wave coming in. A few months max and we'll be living the old normal again. In the mean time, we have to make the best of the situation. Great to see you are energised to make something of HIVE. Thank you @qsounds, I can't wait like all of us but even more because music is my main source of income. i'm not sure why I have an error code at the moment on this video. the others are playing but not this one at the moment. i'm going to see if anyone on the discord channel can advise and i got first hater. It may have been a temporary thing; Video played before, and it plays now :) Have more troubles with DTube I must say. This morning again a few that didn't play when doing my curation round.

thank you. I do have quite a few reggae ones which are been produced for an album with my group called "The Sub Spartans" Drums, Sax, Guitar trumpet but I will be doing a few reggae covers solo too. Ive aded yo to my list here . Nice to meet you @djottic if you have any beats let me know and I'll have a listen and if I like the vibe i'll sax it up in the studio :)
