The irony of risking your life to go to a funeral. It's that time when the main person there will not care that much who comes along. Sadly this is likely to mean many more deaths as people pass the virus around.

Part of the problem may be that this virus is not quite scary enough. It's not like ebola that will probably kill you. Younger people have a low death rate, but they can pass it to parents and grandparents who are at much higher risk.

I can understand the desire to get back to work, but we can mourn the dead from home.

I agree with you that tourism and economic activity is a determining factor in the number of covid-19 cases. However, as time passes by I have grown increasingly skeptical about the whole pandemic thing. I think that we should question the facts and figures at a global scale. I think that both right and left are benefiting of the virus as a scare tactic and some massive economic interest will be benefitting from the whole mess.
Here in Venezuela, the government is extnding quarantin despite the extremely small number of cases. True, they have done almost zero testing (ignore the official numbers), but we do not see or hear of friends or family members affected. It's like noone knows anyone affected. This is really weird. I think that we have reasons to think of the whole story as ascheme

Some people don't care about the rules. But if they get sick, what will they say?
