[ESP/ENGL] Cinco sabios refranes venezolanos (Décima Tercera Parte) // Five wise Venezuelan sayings (Thirteenth Part)

¡Hola a todos! Ya estamos próximos a Semana Santa, una temporada tan especial y llena de tradiciones, así que he querido aprovechar el momento y traerles la Treceava parte de mi seriado “Cinco sabios refranes venezolanos”, la cual está conformada por cinco de los dichos más comunes en mi país, Venezuela; los que extraigo del libro “Refranes que se oyen y dicen en Venezuela”, cuyo autor es Santos Erminy Arismendi, libro publicado por la Cadena Capriles en el año 2006, el cual venía encartado gratis en el periódico “Últimas Noticias”. Los análisis y comentarios son 100% de mi autoría. Al final de este post están los enlaces que les llevarán a las 12 primeras entregas, por si los quieren leer.

1) “Meterse a brujo sin conocer las yerbas.”

Se supone que los brujos son muy conocedores de las yerbas y saben utilizarlas; por lo que este es un dicho que se aplica a aquellas personas que asumen posición de expertos en cierta área, trabajo, disciplina o materia, y carecen de los conocimientos y experticias suficientes para desempeñarse adecuadamente, o ejecutar de modo idóneo las tareas y labores requeridas. Es decir, se aplica a aquellos individuos que dicen ser expertos y sabihondos cuando realmente no tienen las nociones básicas de lo que dicen saber.

2) “Más vale maña que fuerza.”

Este es un refrán que reivindica la importancia de la astucia e inteligencia, que en muchas ocasiones es mucho mejor que el uso de la fuerza bruta, pues se pueden alcanzar los objetivos propuestos sin tener que generar confrontación, solamente a través de la inteligencia.

3) “No es culpa del payaso que el maromero se caiga.”
En ocasiones, hay personas que intentan adjudicarle a los demás la causa de sus fracasos, cuando realmente son ellos mismos los que con sus acciones erráticas han fallado y fracasado. Es un refrán muy bueno, para poner a ciertas personas en su lugar.

4) “Se le quemaron las arepas.”
Es un dicho muy similar a “se le trancó o se le quebró el serrucho” y esto quiere decir que fracasó, que la diligencia que estaba haciendo salió mal.

5) “La verdad padece, pero no perece.”
Se aplica este refrán para decir, que aún cuando la verdad sea ocultada, siempre permanecerá y no podrá ser callada, algo similar a “entre el cielo y la tierra no hay nada oculto”.

1) “Get into a witch without knowing the herbs."
Sorcerers are supposed to be very knowledgeable about herbs and know how to use them; So this is a saying that applies to those people who assume the position of experts in a certain area, job, discipline or subject, and lack sufficient knowledge and expertise to perform adequately, or adequately perform the tasks and tasks required. . That is to say, it applies to those individuals who claim to be expert and wise when they really do not have the basic notions of what they claim to know.

2) “Better skill than strength."
This is a saying that vindicates the importance of cunning and intelligence, which in many cases is much better than the use of brute force, since the proposed objectives can be achieved without having to generate confrontation, only through intelligence.

3 “It is not the fault of the clown that the joker falls."
Sometimes, there are people who try to attribute to others the cause of their failures, when it is really they themselves who, through their erratic actions, have failed and failed. It is a very good saying, to put certain people in their place.

4) " The arepas were burned."
It is a saying very similar to "his saw got stuck or broke" and this means that he failed, that the diligence he was doing went wrong.

5) " The truth suffers but does not perish."
This saying is applied to say that even when the truth is hidden, it will always remain and cannot be silenced, something similar to "between heaven and earth there is nothing hidden."

No conocía estos refranes. Acabo de ver tus publicaciones anteriores y de esos si conocía algunos. Estan buenos y se aplican bastante a la vida, hay otros que son chistosos jaja pero se también aplican. Gracias por compartir y publicar en Hive Cross Culture!
