GOING AGAINST ALL ODDS: Saturday was thrilling, let's make Sunday an unforgettable day!

Who doesn't like to start and end each new day with a smile? That's how I like mine, especially on weekends.

My weekend plan as published two days ago, It's Another Type of Weekend Vibe | You've Got To Make Your Fun, is a very simple one -fun, fun, fun!

"All l ever wanted was to smile all through the weekend and fill my mind with positivity".

It's a bold statement and l can assure you that being from this part of the world makes it harder to achieve that. A full day of happiness is already a luxury that many people can't dream of but l just said what l said and l wasn't ready to do anything other than that.

Saturday started with the usual Nigerian drama. There was an unannounced power outage -it's never announced so, we just enjoy light when we see. I had to go out to buy petrol in order to start my generator and charge my phone. It took two hours to get my phone fully charged and l still have enough petrol in the generator to last two more days.

With that, l was sure that the hurdle posed by electricity was taken care of but l was still watching my six. It was as if l knew that other things would try to get in the way of my happiness and l was not wrong.

Another Nigerian problem. The Twitter ban and the disappointment that filled the atmosphere!

Rumours of a potential ban were already circulating after a tweet released on Friday by the Nigerian Minister of Information. As of then, it was just a rumour and nobody thought that this rumour would become a reality. The whole build-up to the ban was swift, uncalculated, irrational and promises to lead to more unrest in days to come.

When l heard of this ban, l took the news from a different angle and decided to visit Peakd post editor. You know what goes on there, right? Check DAMMIT... We Made Headline For The Wrong Reason Again. This Country Is Bullshitting Itself to see for yourself.

Did the news ruin my mood? Well, here is your answer;

The above screenshot is taken from the last paragraph of the post l wrote when l heard of Nigeria/Twitter drama. My weekend continued on a good note, all thanks to my strong will. I was determined to be happy and was not ready to trade that happiness with any other thing.

Let's go to the most exciting part of Saturday

I'd have a long list of things that are worth being mentioned including the fact that l had another heart-to-heart with @merit.ahama but the Apex of it happened in the comment section of The “3rd World”s role on Hive, a post that was well written by @selfhelp4trolls - I suggest you give it a read and also contribute to the discussion.

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop Or Comma

I like that you kept a positive energy all through. It's not easy with the things happening in the country right now.

Hope you have a great Sunday!

Your situation with electricity reminds me that we shouldn't take anything for granted...

It's sad to see that some governments impose censorship on the internet...
Let's hope Hive is a savior for these kinds of problem :)

My situation with electricity is very sad and it's so sad to see that my government has already choosed to be very irrational in their dealings.

I'm sure that we will still survive this

Twitter banning is not really new to me because I already know what's happening probably we might see another phase of their actions.

I used my VPN to log on into Twitter to see how it's and guess what? People are Still tweeting but majority are not, it was quiet unlike the usual days.

As for electricity is so bad that a country have too many failure to fix, everyone is going to petrol and so am I, one way or the other we will survive this ! That's definitely true!

I don't really care about their ban & I don't care about Twitter so I'm not ready to access any VPN for now because it has a tendency of messing up my binance account which I visit very often 😂

For all I care, I'm just glad to see that Nigerians are still doing well and smiling despite all that we are passing through.

Things will be better in the long run
