New additions to my book shelf

Last year, late December, It was my birthday and like every other birthdays, I didn't do anything at all, the only usual thing was that I got monetary gift from my boss at work because it was the day I quit my job. Closing from work at past 6pm, I thought of what to treat myself with; a book, I thought. So I walked through the street then I stumbled upon a bookstore. I didn't think is was a bookshop because it was less sophisticated and the books weren't properly arranged or stored. I graduated the University with a degree in library and Information science so I was very critical of their system. I also advised them of different book preservation techniques. I eventually got "the Day Code" by Dan Brown. Enough rambling. So there I was, sitting in front yard, and this lady walked past and asked to borrow my book, since I was still reading it, I promised to get her another; she loved fiction, thriller, and I have being meaning to read more fiction books, so I saw it an opportunity to get more books for my physical book shelf which I have being growing for some time now.

I took a lot of scrutiny to arrive at this books. One thing I like to do whenever I'm acquiring or downloading a new book is read the summary, and reviews. The store attendant didn't offer a lot of help, as I told her I want thrillers, for some reason she seemed occupied with another activity. Eventually, another person who turned out to be related to the attendant offered help and I gave her the instruction, "Give me bestsellers only".I ran through the head of books and with the one she suggested to me, I arrived at this three:
  • Bad Love by Jonathan Kellerman
  • Garden Of Beast by Jeffery Deaver
  • The Secret Sisters by Elizabeth Lowell

An epic thriller this looks to be. It is a story about a fella who tries to uncover mysterious death and various threats send to wards him. Action packed and a guaranteed page turner as USA Today put it. I look forward to second.

A German-American who happens to be a hitman gets nabbed after a job gone-wrong. He seen to always take only the "righteous jobs", where he has to take out the bad guys I presume. Hr is eventually giving a chance, to go after Hitlers weapon guy or her electrocuted. The task turns out to be more herculean that he thought. I read that and I knew this has to be the first one I read out of the bunch.

I think the title of this book gave a slight hint. The protagonist had lost her sister years ago, but it turns out that that she is still just around the corner. My third and final read and final read from the list. Chances are that I might just read all at once.

The book store is the only place I spend my money without regret, and they all just cost a couple of bucks. See y'all at their reviews :).

Haha, surely. I'm trying to build my physical shelf as I would be moving to my small personal apartment soon, its important for me, :).

But we can do an ebook trade. I'd probably write a post for everyone to share. :)))
