The magical world of writer J.R Tolkien is amazing with its wide variety of characters; elves, dwarves, hobbits, trolls, orcs, ogres, and tree-men. These intertwine to make Middle-earth a place where the magic takes precedence over the realities of the human mind. In this environment, they create their most famous stories, among which is the Lord of the Rings, an unforgettable story.
In addition, walking through this world you can see the variety of languages or dialects, very understandable since Tolkien was an expert and knew 23 dialects. He spent 30 years rummaging through all the towns, villages, and counties. Reading manuscripts, collecting legends, and customs of the English.
For me, it is one of the most complete books I have read in reference to ancient cultures.
Since the human being was created comes in a constant struggle between good and evil. Also, a search, which at this point many are unable to determine or know what it is. Some call it happiness, others the philosopher's stone, or spirituality.
The journey that Frodo begins in Middle-earth to destroy the ring I consider to be a journey of initiation of good against evil. Where Frodo has to detach himself from material things and follow the path of spirituality. Where the ring represents the banal and material things, and he has to leave everything behind to become a new man.
Sam's character is his conscience, which prevents him from fainting and falling into the temptations that the ring of evil gives him.
Gollum represents doubt, whether what he is doing is right or wrong.
Gandalf is the spiritual master who follows him closely to guide and orient him, who also has to transform himself to receive the initiate, as when he turns from gray to the white wizard. He is the example for Frodo to follow in order to succeed in the journey.
Evil, temptations, and lust represented by Sauron, and the Towers where evil rules and dominates. The white wizard who represents the good incarnated in Gandalf, with powers that allow him to remove evil from the heart of King Theoden.

When he begins his journey, Frodo passes through the house of Galadriel where he has his first contact with the spiritual part and faces the terror of the Threshold where he can see the present, the past, and the future. Where he prepares himself to face his fears and lower passions, to continue his journey to succeed in the initiatory path.
The strange relationship of the ring community is revealed, beings so different but with the same mission; to take Frodo to fulfill his initiation.
On the journey, a series of events are presented to reaffirm the character and courage of Frodo and all those who accompany them.
Characters that weave the story of the ring of power. My favorite characters; the tree man, Bardol. In the cultures, English and European tales speak much of women and three men who were the gardeners who planted the trees in the earth.
Éowyn, Éomer's sister. She has a great role in the story.
My beloved Trancos or Aragorn II, this character stole my heart, brave man and unafraid of the dead.

I recommend you to read the Lord of the Rings; it is made up of three books; The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King.

El mundo mágico del escritor J.R Tolkien es sorprendente con su gran variedad de personajes; elfos, enanos, hobbit, trolls, orcos, ogros y los hombres árbol. Estos se entrecruzan para hacer de la Tierra medio un lugar donde la magia se antepone a las realidades de la mente humana. En este ambiente crean sus historias más famosas, entre las cuales se encuentra el Señor de los anillos, una historia inolvidable.
Además, transitando por este mundo se ve la variedad de idiomas o dialectos, muy entendible ya que Tolkien era un experto y sabía 23 dialectos. Estuvo durante 30 años hurgando en todos los pueblos, villas y condados. Leyendo manuscritos, recopilando leyendas, y costumbres de los ingleses.
Para mí es unos de los libros más completos que he leído en referencia a las culturas antiguas.
Desde que el ser humano fue creado viene en una lucha constante entre el bien y el mal. También una búsqueda, que a estas alturas muchos no logran determinar ni saber lo que es. Algunos la llaman felicidad, otros la piedra filosofal, o la espiritualidad.
El viaje que inicia Frodo en la Tierra media para destruir el anillo considero que es un viaje de iniciación del bien contra el mal. Donde Frodo tiene que desprenderse de las cosas materiales, y seguir el sendero de la espiritualidad. Donde el anillo representa las cosas banales y materiales, y tiene que dejar todo atrás para convertirse en un hombre nuevo.
El personaje de Sam es su conciencia, que le impide desfallecer y caer en las tentaciones que le da el anillo de maldad.
Gollum representa la duda, de si lo que está haciendo está bien o mal.
Gandalf es el maestro espiritual que lo sigue de cerca para guiarlo y orientarlo, que también tiene que transformarse para recibir al iniciado, como cuando se convierte de mago gris a blanco. Es el ejemplo a seguir por Frodo para triunfar en el viaje.
El mal, tentaciones y lujuria representada por Sauron, y las Torres donde impera y domina el mal. El mago blanco que representa el bien encarnado en Gandalf, con poderes que le permiten sacar al mal del corazón del rey Theoden.
Cuando inicia su viaje, Frodo pasa por la casa de Gaaldriel donde tiene su primer contacto con la parte espiritual, y se enfrenta al terror del Umbral donde él puede ver el presente, el pasado y futuro. Donde se prepara para enfrentar sus miedos y bajas pasiones, para continuar su viaje para triunfar en el camino iniciático.

Se pone de manifiesto la extraña relación de la comunidad del anillo, seres tan diferentes pero con una misma misión; llevar a Frodo a cumplir su iniciación.
En el viaje se presentan una serie de eventos para reafirmar el carácter y valentía de Frodo y de todos los que los acompañan.
Personajes que van entretejiendo la historia del anillo de poder.
Mis personajes favoritos; el hombre árbol, Bardol. En las culturas, cuentos ingleses y europeos hablan mucho de mujeres y hombres árbol que eran los jardineros que plantaron los árboles en la tierra.
Éowyn , hermana de Éomer. Tiene un gran protagonismo en la historia.
Mi amado Trancos o Aragorn II, este personaje robó mi corazón, hombre valiente y sin miedo a los muertos.

Les recomiendo leer el Señor de los anillos; está conformado por tres libros; La comunidad del anillo, Las dos torres y El retorno del rey.

Como tú señalas es increíble la cantidad de variados presonajes creados
