Resulta que estaba poniendo orden en la librería que tengo en mi casa y por ahí escondido entre libros y libros me consigo este pequeño ejemplar de uno de los clásicos de todos los tiempos de la literatura mundial, El Principito. Yo recuerdo haberlo leído cuando estaba en el colegio pero creo que uno a esa edad no le da la real importancia que este libro se merece y eso es básicamente por todas las enseñanzas que nos deja.

It turns out that I was tidying up the bookstore that I have in my house and hidden there among books and books I get this small copy of one of the all-time classics of world literature, The Little Prince. I remember reading it when I was in school but I think that one at that age does not give it the real importance that this book deserves and that is basically because of all the teachings it leaves us.

Esta obra fue escrita por el francés Antoine de Saint-Exupery en el año 1943 y cuenta la historia de un pequeño príncipe que abandona su asteroide donde vive hacia una gran aventura a través del universo en donde se va dando cuanta la manera tan peculiar que tienen los adultos de ver la vida y varios aspectos de ella.

This work was written by the French Antoine de Saint-Exupery in 1943 and tells the story of a little prince who leaves his asteroid where he lives on a great adventure through the universe where he realizes how peculiar the adults see life and various aspects of it.

- Resumen // Summary.

La historia comienza con un piloto que aterriza de emergencia en el desierto del Sahara porque su avión se averió y necesita repararlo. En ese ínterin se le aparece un príncipe quien proviene del asteroide B612 y quien también le pide al piloto que le dibuje un cordero. La historia de la boa nos lleva a la infancia del piloto quien cuando la dibujó todo el mundo le decía que era un sombrero cuando no era así, era una boa que se había comido un elefante.

The story begins with a pilot who makes an emergency landing in the Sahara desert because his plane broke down and he needs to repair it. In the meantime, a prince appears to him who comes from the asteroid B612 and who also asks the pilot to draw him a lamb. The story of the boa takes us back to the childhood of the pilot who when he drew it everyone told him that it was a hat when it was not, it was a boa that had eaten an elephant.

A medida que va pasando la historia nuestro piloto se va dando cuenta la historia fascinante que hay detrás del pequeño príncipe que como les dije vive en un asteroide acompañado de una rosa y tres volcanes y además le encanta ver las puestas del sol.

As the story goes by, our pilot realizes the fascinating story behind the little prince who, as I told you, lives in an asteroid accompanied by a rose and three volcanoes and also loves to watch the sunsets.

Un día cualquiera en el suelo del asteroide nace una flor pero esta flor tenía una particularidad, que era bastante caprichosa y un poco dramática y eso al príncipe no le gustaba por lo que decide irse del asteroide a buscar nuevos amigos. En efecto durante su viaje recorre otros asteroides donde tiene la oportunidad de conocer a varios personajes un poco peculiares que sin saberlo le van enseñando una gran lección de vida. Cuál? - pues que los adultos siempre están muy ocupados en cosas "importantes" que se les olvida de apreciar la vida misma.

On any day on the ground of the asteroid a flower is born but this flower had a peculiarity, which was quite capricious and a bit dramatic and the prince did not like that so he decides to leave the asteroid to find new friends. In fact, during his journey, he travels through other asteroids where he has the opportunity to meet various slightly peculiar characters who unknowingly teach him a great life lesson. Which? - well that the adults are always so busy with "important" things that they forget to appreciate life itself.

Una vez que llega a la Tierra el principito entra en contacto con todo tipo de plantas, animales y personas, todo esto antes de encontrarse con el piloto. Uno de los personajes más importantes de esta historia es un zorro quien le enseñará el inmenso valor que tiene el amor y la amistad haciéndolo darse cuenta lo mucho que aprecia a su flor en su asteroide.

Once the little prince arrives on Earth, he comes into contact with all kinds of plants, animals and people, all this before meeting the pilot. One of the most important characters in this story is a fox who will teach him the immense value of love and friendship by making him realize how much he appreciates his flower on his asteroid.

Es por eso que después de todo aquel gran viaje que el príncipe emprendió fue por la nostalgia de no estar cerca de su flor que decide regresar a su hogar. Otra de las cosas que de igual manera pudo notar en su aventura es que pudo ver con sus propios ojos lo decepcionante que es el mundo y la vida de los adultos lo cual fue un motivo para que él decidiera volver a su asteroide.

That is why after all that great journey that the prince undertook, it was out of nostalgia for not being near his flower that he decided to return home. Another thing that he could also notice in his adventure is that he could see with his own eyes how disappointing the world is and the lives of adults, which was a reason for him to decide to return to his asteroid.

- Opinión.

El libro sin miedo a decirlo es una de las obras literarias más importantes de todos los tiempos, la verdad es que si no han tenido tiempo u oportunidad de leerlo les sugiero que vayan y lo hagan. Y esto es mayormente porque es ya de adultos cuando podemos entender mejor todo lo que esta historia nos quiere decir, no digo que un niño no pueda pero siendo adultos es muy posible que nos haga abrir los ojos en muchas cosas.

The book without fear to say it is one of the most important literary works of all time, the truth is that if you have not had time or opportunity to read it, I suggest you go and do it. And this is mainly because it is as adults when we can better understand everything that this story wants to tell us, I am not saying that a child cannot but as adults it is very possible that it makes us open our eyes to many things.

Es la frase MÁS poderosa del libro y se la dice el zorro al príncipe. Su significado es sencillo y es que el valor real y verdadero de las cosas radica en nuestro corazón y no en como miramos las cosas ya que podemos caer en la superficialidad; es algo así como que no hay que vivir de las apariencias.

It is the MOST powerful phrase in the book and the fox says it to the prince. Its meaning is simple and it is that the real and true value of things lies in our heart and not in how we look at things since we can fall into superficiality; It is something like that you do not have to live by appearances.

Hay muchos personajes, entre ellos están: El vanidoso, el farolero, el borracho, el geólogo, el hombre de negocios, el rey, etc, etc. Por ejemplo todos estos personajes que les acabo de mencionar son los habitantes de todos los asteroides que el príncipe visitó y TODOS ellos muestran una "personalidad" o forma de ser de los adultos. Personas muy ocupadas, personas que solo están pendientes de ellas mismas, personas sin apegos, personas con ansías de poder, personas que no poseen motivación, etc.

There are many characters, among them are: The vain, the lamplighter, the drunkard, the geologist, the businessman, the king, etc, etc. For example, all these characters that I just mentioned are the inhabitants of all the asteroids that the prince visited and ALL of them show a "personality" or way of being of the adults. Very busy people, people who are only aware of themselves, people without attachments, people with a lust for power, people who do not have motivation, etc.

De ahí que el principito no le haya gustado para nada la forma de ver la vida de los adultos. Amigos, en fin, este libro me hizo recordar que las cosas más importantes de la vida muchas veces no son las materiales. Vayan a leerlo y si ya lo hicieron hagan como yo y vuélvanlo a leer.

Hence, the little prince did not like the way adults see life at all. Friends, anyway, this book reminded me that the most important things in life are often not the material ones. Go read it and if you have already done it, do like me and read it again.

Me encanta tu publicación sobre este maravilloso libro, el cual expresa de manera tan simple y dulce realidades de la vida y que experimenta tantas cosas que debemos poner siempre en practica dentro de la vida diaria y sobre todo enseña el valor de las amistades.
