I love this idea, I had in mind to write a post about my favorite book and this contest is the ideal scenario to do it.

Reading is a pleasant company it is a glorious experience because you use your imagination to enter unknown worlds.

You connect with the characters with the writer it is a free escape from reality.

My favorite book is :

Stories of Great Little Ones
Historias de Grandes Pequeños

Source: taken by me for the post.

Stories of Great Little Ones.

Authors:
Aragua Educational Institute, School Bella Vista School, Doctor Gustavo Machado School, Josefina Crespo School

Year: 2006 -

Publisher: Mundo hispano

A little of Context:

ANDIEP (National Association of Private Educational Institutes) and Mundo Hispano Publishing Group, joined forces to encourage elementary school students to write a little story.

Thus was born Historia de Grandes pequeños, a book containing hundreds of stories from students of several private schools in Aragua — Venezuela.

Main idea:

Is to promote and develop children's and youth literature..
With the help of the teachers in each classroom, the children were invited to write on a white sheet of paper a story on a free theme.

The exercise lasted one week, all the material was delivered to the publishing house.

Respecting the spontaneous expression, the publisher only corrected the possible spelling mistakes, organized them by grade and placed the title, the child's name and the story.

Result

It is a wonderful book of 537, pages that contain hundreds of short stories from the students, a window that invites you to dream with each one of them.

I like the book for

the variety of stories it contains, I have read it several times even when I feel a little depressed I read a story that fills you with joy and happiness.

With this book I go back to my childhood, going through each story connects me with my past with wonderful experiences that with time are forgotten.

Children are beings of light that fill a room with their spontaneity, there are several sad stories, but always with a happy ending.

My son participated in this initiative, with an adventure of 03 dogs, the story is about how the dogs planned to escape to follow their owner.

This beautiful initiative made several students start their passion for literature, I give as an example my son, he likes reading and has written short stories in Hive.

It is a book that I keep as a treasure for my grandchildren.

It is in Spanish, here are 02 of his stories translated for your enjoyment:

The dwarf and the giant
Once upon a time there was a dwarf and a giant who were good friends until one day they were playing in an amusement park, some children came and admired the size of the giant, and laughed at the dwarf for his size, the dwarf went home running, after playing with the children the giant realized that the dwarf was not there and ran home to see what was wrong.
He asked him what was wrong and the dwarf got angry and threw him out of his house, the next day the giant returned to his friend's house and asked him again what was wrong and he told him that he felt inferior to the giant, the giant replied: No matter how big you are, the important thing is the size of your heart.

Author Cristian Hurtado- 6th grade - page 301

The water morrocoy
There was a morrocoy who was a dreamer he dreamed of swimming with the little turtles of the Mita River.
The turtles rejected the little morrocoy because he didn't have legs like them. The morrocoy felt very bad and only he wanted to fulfill his dream.
One day he went to the river it was a sunny morning the morrocoy dipped his paws in the water and imitated those little turtles, attempt after attempt he succeeded. He who perseveres wins
