Memorable book read as a teenager// Libro memorable leído en mi adolescencia

El ser humano siempre ha tenido ese espíritu de libertad y la necesidad de romper horizontes, cuando nos cortan las alas de poder impulsarnos a lo desconocido se viene una avalancha de sentimientos frustrados que nos resultan difíciles de superar.

Hoy quiero compartir una de mis primeras lecturas la cual fue significativa en ese momento y aun prevalece en mi memoria su mensaje. Recuerdo que tenia como doce o trece años cuando me adentre a visualizar este libro, en la medida que avanzaba sus paginas iba comprendiendo lo que muchas veces puede costar un sueño.

Juan Salvador Gaviota es una novela tipo fábula escrita por Richard Bach en el año 1970. Para contar la motivadora historia de Juan Salvador.Este libro fue utilizado como argumento para la película “Juan Salvador Gaviota”, dirigida por Hall Bartlett y estrenada el día 23 de octubre de 1973.

Esta lectura demuestra como una joven gaviota soñaba en perfeccionar su vuelo rompiendo los paradigmas del resto del grupo, sin embargo muchos no creian en el desterrandolo, pero pese a todos los tropiezos esta gaviota nunca se rindió.

Uno de los elementos principales de esta lectura es la libertad por ir más allá del horizonte trazado y vivir nuevas experiencias que no sean las conocidas.

Otro aspecto resaltante es el desprecio, creo que las burlas y comentarios mal sanos que le realizaban al protagonista son un fiel reflejo de lo que observamos en nuestra sociedad cuando otros quieren algo diferente.

Los invito a realizar esta corta lectura el mensaje que deja de siempre seguir y tener postura propia y no hacer o decir lo que otros quieren solo por contexto o para quedar bien con los demás es crucial para el éxito propio.

Human beings have always had that spirit of freedom and the need to break horizons, when they cut off our wings to be able to push ourselves into the unknown, an avalanche of frustrated feelings comes and we find it difficult to overcome them.

Today I want to share one of my first readings which was significant at the time and its message still prevails in my memory. I remember I was about twelve or thirteen years old when I started to visualise this book, and as I went through its pages I understood what a dream can often cost.

Juan Salvador Gaviota is a fable-like novel written by Richard Bach in 1970. This book was used as the plot for the film "Juan Salvador Gaviota", directed by Hall Bartlett and released on 23 October 1973.

This reading shows how a young seagull dreamed of perfecting his flight, breaking the paradigms of the rest of the group, however many did not believe in him and banished him, but despite all the setbacks this seagull never gave up.

One of the main elements of this reading is the freedom to go beyond the horizon and live new experiences that are not the familiar ones.

Another aspect that stands out is the contempt, I think that the mockery and unhealthy comments made to the protagonist are a true reflection of what we see in our society when others want something different.

I invite you to read this short reading, the message that it leaves is to always follow and have your own position and not to do or say what others want for context or to look good to others is crucial for your own success.
