Beneficiaries for the Shadow Hunters Community

A Reminder

If you post into a community that you enjoy, remember to set the community account as a beneficiary on your posts. For those of you who already do, THANK YOU!

I have set hive-179017 as a 20% beneficiary for this post. If all the #Shadowhunters Community members shared even 5% of each post with the Community account we could soon be handing out bigger rewards for each post and everyone would benefit!

It is easy to set beneficiaries from the @ecency phone app. When you are creating a post go to this icon at the top left.

Choose beneficiary, and open this screen

Everyone in the community will benefit!

Thank you for showing us how to do this!
On Monday, when I make my post, I shall make sure that
@ecency is the beneficiary.
I don't use my phone, but I suppose everything is the same.

I'm not sure if the beneficiary feature is available yet for PC and website versions of Ecency. I know they intend to include it soon.

I will try to do this with my next post, dear Melonda.

I'll definitely do this whenever I enter for the contest, I didn't know beneficiary could be set with ecency app. Thanks for the information

It's a great way to support the communities that you enjoy posting to. You can see the beneficiary amounts by clicking on the $ amount of the post.

(Edited)

I have tried but it seems I can't do it on my telephone. Will keep trying 🙂

Ah, you may be using the website, not the app? You can install the app using Google Playstore, but the website is wonderful, too, and will have the beneficiary feature soon!

I think I will wait for the website changes because of my telephone - not enough memory. Will do asap. ❤🌷

Thank you @melinda010100 for this info. I know in peakd how to setup beneficiaries but not in ecency. Just thinking to ask good-karma about that but now no need for this. But, is this only in the phone app? I'm usually writing posts with photos in a web app, I don't like a phone to post, only for reading and viewing...

As far as I know the beneficiaries feature is not on the website or PC version yet. Look for it soon though!

I hope so.

Can you compose your post using the website, save it to drafts and then go to your phone to set tags, beneficiaries and publish from there? I'm not sure if that works?

Well, maybe should work...but in peakd you must set beneficiaries immediately it doesn't work later if you want to update...anyway for this 147 contest is without, but I'll talk with good-karma in discord when this could be available...

In the app you must set benes before you publish. You can't go back and do it afterwards.

Yes, probably the same as in peakd. If forget, as I do in LMAC community you can't set beneficiaries if you want to update post.

I tried to make the community a beneficiary last week, but I failed. I was writing a post late at night and decided that it would be better to postpone the publication until morning. I set everything up and went to bed, but it turned out that the beneficiaries' settings had disappeared somewhere during the night:) I used peakd. But today I published the post immediately, and all the settings are in place.

Thank you! You might have noticed that my bene settings on this post didn't register.
I set them and then went back to make a change on the post and my settings must have vanished!
