Could it also be possible that schools and educational institutions would become a thing of the past?

Considering the worst case scenario, it is possible that we may not return to normal. I think school and educational institution may still be relevant in terms of providing education but I think the traditional classroom will become a thing in the past. Digital learning will become a new norm. On a lighter note, there are still things that needs a physical classroom. Technical and scientific education need to go laboratories.

What if this current pandemic worsens and kills the social nature of humanity?

It is already killing our social norms, but I hope it will no become as worst as humanity losing all physical social interactions. If we go for a little bit longer with lockdowns and quarantine, I believe we will get used to this set up. We may missed the large social gatherings but I think humanity will have deeper and intimate social relationship among small circles. I think virtual conversation is not a better substitute for actual physical conversation. Human are social being. Chatting friends and family online never quench our desire for socialization. Taking out the ability to socialize may result to anxiety, depression and failing mental health.
