This adventure was very exciting because this was the first thing I did at the beginning of 2024. I experienced a simple journey and learned many lessons. Penang, even though it is very close, in 30 years of life, I have only been able to set foot in this city.

Since I was traveling alone, I decided to stay at a hostel. You know, that I don't dare sleep alone. Moreover, I slept in a bed that was sized for two people. I felt like someone was sleeping with me. So, I prefer using hostel services rather than staying in hotels. Besides, hostels can be a place for me to make new friends as fellow backpackers.

Choose to stay in the George Town area, Penang, it is in the middle of the city and it is quite simple to go anywhere. Tido hostel is at a crossroads, it's quite easy to access and the hostel is very big. Unlike hostels which only have a few rooms, this hostel has 6 floors. Lots of room and surprisingly busy.

I highly recommend you to choose Tido Hostel to stay. Why? The price is relatively cheap compared to other places, clean, spacious, and very comfortable in reservations. Very satisfying service for me personally. Have lots of access and facilities.

The concept of Tido Hostel is like 'YOLO' You Only Life Once. Like the hashtag of this hostel, #BackpackerHaven, the concept that is promoted really makes our stay very comfortable.

The lobby of the hostel is quite spacious with the central destination being the reception desk which will be accompanied by 2 people who will help us in preparing the room. I got a room on the 4th floor and it was quite comfortable, but I didn't take photos in the room because it protected my roommate's privacy.

There are 2 very wide brown sofas, you can use these to relax while waiting for time, do whatever you want and you can even open your laptop to work. I like waiting here with the spotlights which add to the aesthetic value of the Tido Hostel lobby. There are 2 small table accents highlighted by a mini pot with leaves that beautifies the room.

_{My Favorite Room}

Apart from the rooms, there is one room that I like the most here. Lounge and bar on the top floor. This is a suggestion from the receptionist that I can use this room freely. As long as I can maintain cleanliness and also obey a few simple rules.

From the looks of the photo, this room has a very large space. I like the design which is very youthful. Full of colorful accessories that can spoil the eyes. Industrial design with the use of cement colors and also some walls using wooden backdrops.

There are lots of chairs and tables here, specifically for working, eating, relaxing, and you can even enjoy singing karaoke. There are 2 special microphones that can be used for singing, 1 television screen and also water flow for drinking. They also allowed us to use the sink to wash dishes, refrigerator, microwave and other facilities.

You know, I really like swinging using this rattan swing. similar to a bird's nest wallet which is quite sturdy, I also don't fall or feel it wobbling when wearing it. There are even several books in front of me that I can use to read books while swinging casually.

How comfortable the room and the swing were, I could even sleep for a long time there. I forgot to go back to my room and rest for 3 hours. Because I can sleep, eat and drink here, I feel very comfortable.
