Tuvimos excelentes participaciones esta semana, las cuales pueden ver en LET'S JAM! | ¡Cierre de la semana de lanzamiento! | Closing the release week!, fue bastante difícil elegir los 3 primeros ganadores, y por esa razón queremos extender nuestra felicitación a todo los que decidieron mostrar su talento y pasión por la música en la iniciativa.

We are very happy about this great start we had with the LET'S JAM initiative! We had excellent participation this week, which you can see in LET'S JAM! | ¡Cierre de la semana de lanzamiento! | Closing the release week!, it was quite difficult to choose the first 3 winners, and for that reason we want to extend our congratulations to all those who decided to show their talent and passion for music in the initiative.

Nos muestra su versatilidad como músico multinstrumentista, creando diversos sonidos que componen esta genial creación, los invitamos a escucharlo atentamente y otorgarle un comentario por su excelente labor.
This was simply great, the creativity of this musician was shocking; you start playing your guitar, creating a "Loop" (cycle of repetitions) and you start getting caught. He shows us his versatility as a multi-instrumentalist musician, creating diverse sounds that make up this brilliant creation. We invite you to listen to him carefully and give him a commentary for his excellent work.

Cabe ha demostrado ser un excelente músico desde su llegada a HIVE; siempre nos ha mostrado su nivel excepcional en cada canción original que trae en su iniciativa conocida como Hive Open Mic, sin lugar a dudas esto fue hermoso y queremos verlo participando en próximas ocasiones.
Cabe has proven to be an excellent musician since his arrival at HIVE; he has always shown us his exceptional level in every original song he brings in his initiative known as Hive Open Mic, without a doubt this was beautiful and we want to see him participate in future occasions.

Uno de los creadores más constantes de la comunidad de creadores venezolanos, el maestro Gabo; su calidad como músico es increíble y nos demuestra en cada uno de sus vídeos el amor y pasión que tiene por nuestra música venezolana. En esta ocasión nos muestra su excelente habilidad con el cuatro para tocar un Gavilán con una magnífica precisión, haciendo que el cuatro venezolano muestre un sonido brillante simplemente hermoso.
One of the most constant creators of the Venezuelan community of creators, Maestro Gabo; his quality as a musician is incredible and he shows us in each of his videos the love and passion he has for our Venezuelan music. On this occasion he shows us his excellent ability with the cuatro to play a Gavilán with magnificent precision, making the Venezuelan cuatro sound brilliant and simply beautiful.

Wow..... I'm speechless...
I cannot express how much this means to me..
When I first saw LET'S JAM, I was so happy to join! An initiative for musicians, where I can write original songs, use my looper, and don't even have to sing?? This is tailor made for me! And I really am so happy to participate!
When I saw the other participants and heard their music, I'll be honest, I was quite intimidated... For one, my style seemed to be very different than everyone else's, my song was a lot longer than most, and to top it all off, everyone is so talented and proficient with their instruments, I really felt I was way out of my league..
You see, I started playing piano when I was eight (I actually started with keyboard the year before) and continued studying until I majored in music in high school, (theory and practice) 9 years later. But during that time, I was so insecure about performing, I only ever did the bare minimum that I had to to pass the exam, and always played much worse than i knew I could, because of my anxiety and nerves..
So I never really performed live. I never entered any contests. My music consisted solely of jamming with friends, or playing at home on my own.
It might sound sad when I say it like that, but it was the best! I only ever played because I enjoyed it, because I wanted to. And that's all I ever did with music. I stared recording some of the songs I wrote, and enjoyed the process of not only playing, but actually having something to show for it after. Taking my creative process to a new level.
This lead to me never wanting or needing anyone's approval for my art. I never tried to sell anything, or make money off of it. I always said to myself I'm not good enough to be a professional musician, that's why I only play for fun.
I have many successful musician friends, and I know how much time and effort they put into practicing.
I had many other interests in my life, and so I never focused entirely on music.
Which brings us to 2am last night, when I saw I had been mentioned in this post.
I assumed, as was expected, that I was listed as one of the proud participants of the first week. And so when I saw my name.... I was speechless... I was numb... I really was so utterly and completely shocked...
It is the first time I have ever won anything in my life. And seeing the other songs by such talented artists, I obviously never expected this...
But much more meaningful for me than a number, was reading @ilazramusic 's words... A talented and well respected musician, complimenting me.. And not only "this guy's good", but taking the time, to really critique my song.... I was laying in bed reading his (your, if you're reading this) words over and over again... I couldn't believe it...
You will never know how much this means to me.. Words cannot express (though not for lack of trying...)

Firstly, thank you @ilazramusic for organising this whole initiative, its a dream come true for me..
Secondly obviously, thank you for choosing me, and writing those kind, warm words..... I feel very unworthy...
Thirdly, I would like to thank @theycallmedan, not only for supporting this project (and you know... for 3speak and all that... ) but specifically for supporting me, and my videos, it means so much (and I don't just mean monetarily) to be recognised, to get all this support positivety and love... I feel so blessed..
Fourthly (no one ever says fourthly), Thank you to all the participants of the first week, it is inspiring and an honour to be with you here, honestly.
And lastly (but definitely not least) thank you to the HIVE community... Who have given me so much already, and continue to give... Who consistently are the best community I have ever been a part of...
I feel unworthy of everything you have given me.. And so I promise to pay it all forward, and offer the same support, love and acceptance to all Hive users I come across. I don't know how else to repay you all...
OK, 700 words is too much, but I literally couldn't fall asleep because my heart is racing. I apologise for making this so long, but it was important for me to express, just how much this means to me....

Here we're looking for people to have fun, not to show who's the best, because everyone is the best in it's own style, that's for sure!
I'm a good musician for singing more than for play the guitar, so I can say with all the words that I have that you're better than me in a HUGE way by playing instruments and that fact doesn't makes me feel less than you, it makes me feel really grateful and lucky for known talented people like you.

I am so happy to have found let's jam (and the hivesicians community at large), I've always wanted a wonderful, warm place where I can share my music.. I have been writing and recording for years, and it's fun, I really do it because I enjoy it, but now, I can share my music with incredible musicians and music lovers.. Its like a dream come true...

Im sorry, my Spanish is too bad to tell you thank you so much for your comment!! And if you're interested, the instrument is called a ghatam. It's from India, and normally can be played along with many other Ghatams to have a full range of notes.
