Evening

I am sure by now all you have heard about the Splinterlands land presale starting on November 7th, 2020 at 12:00 PM EST. Land Expansion will open up a new dimension in game, allowing land owners to craft items and spells to be used in battles. The Items and Spell will not be available in packs or loot chests and can only be minted and sold by the players.
Like every one else I am also excited and just can't wait to have my own land, build building and craft weapons and spell to use in battles. I have already pooled up with @neoxian(aka, The Dragon Banker) for a tract and some plots.

Pooling Up

Pooling up with other fellows to buy a whole tract or region is a nice option that can certainly save you some funds. e.g. the presale price of the individual plot is 10$(M.G. Exploration Co.), but in a tract pool the same plot costs 8.5$ and in a region pool it is 7.5$(1$ saving). Likewise Tract is priced at 850$ but in a Region pool owning a Tract costs 750$(100$ saving).

Pooling up is not only economical but it also guarantees that the lands/tracts you purchase lies in same tract/region, close to your friends. Plots and tracts purchased individually are not guaranteed to be adjacent or close-by. Remember having your plots adjacent/close to each other and friends is gonna have certain benefits like zero/minimal resource/items transportation cost.

Caution

A downside of pooling up, is the trust factor. You are gonna have to trust the pool organizer with your funds and Splinterlands will bears no responsibility what so ever. Also the pool organizer will have the full control of plots/tracts/raffle ticket distribution. So, before pooling up make sure you trust the pool guy completely and the terms regarding plots/tracts distribution are predefined clearly.
The option to claim the region/tract ticket and distribute the lands and tracts in it, without opening the land tickets to see which land contains a Keep or a Castle, will make distribution pretty much easy for the pool organizers.

I my case, pooling up with @neoxian was logical since I am part of the Neoxian city guild too, many of my friends are in the city guild and it have saved me 100k dec. And as far as trust is concerned, I have known the man for quite sometime and am damn sure that he is not only fair but pretty generous too.

So, what are your plans???
Have you pooled up, or are planing on being be a lone wolf???

Yes, pooling requires a certain amount of trust. My guild is doing a pool and they have created a special pool account and gave the keys to two trusted guild members, to avoid one dropping dead and leaving all others without access to their funds.
