Undervalued posts on Hive and what you can do about it

It is a pain to see some posts are truly undervalued. The writers put so many efforts into creating a great article and publish it on hive.blog or the related apps in the hope of getting recognition, views, and votes.

I do agree that the votes are not the single factor that makes a post look good but then when the author does so much of work and then when it is finally published, the work goes unnoticed and unrecognized.

What are the reasons for it?

  • lack of interaction

It is imperative that the blogger has a good rapport with other users otherwise no one will have the interest to even look up newly published posts on the main page and give it a read. If on the other hand, the author has a good connection and base, then the post will be able to get exposure and recognition from those who are familiar and who look forward to reading the content.

  • ineffective curation

There are a lot of people who join Hive almost on a daily basis and do write good posts but when they notice that they are not being 'seen' at all, they just do not bother to come back. This, of course, is the lack of knowledge about Hive and the communities but it is also because there is a huge lack of good curators who can scour the home page and dig out undervalued posts and award the author in a befitting manner.

  • looking beyond

The delegators who have formed a curation trail to upvote good posts from known authors often fail to look beyond the horizon and dig out good posts to support and award exposure. As a result, many a new blogger who is really good gets ignored.

Hive is the promise and we have to keep it

Yesterday, I searched online for blogging sites that pay well and google came out with results that were from 2018 and a few about sites that paid one time for selected articles only.

Hive.blog on the other hand, allows people to write freely, choose between various communities and genres, and also earn from it and can withdraw without a minimum payout limit and such.

So, to promote Hive.blog we should try to encourage new authors and make sure they feel rewarded and this will make them spread the word about hive.

I am sure that within no time, Hive.blog will earn the due recognition worldwide and also be able to support people without boundaries.

Some of the communities that are making a good effort in this are the @bdcommunity the city of Neoxian The mancave @indiaunited @ecotrain @hive-india and so on

Linking below some undervalued posts which I believe need to get more support. If you have the time, please go through it.

It's very true, I also wanted to talk about this subject. I have also seen a lot of quality contents getting nowhere in the rush.

The curators are needed to give more attention while upvoting a content, most times the good content gets ignored.

Good one, the concerns and issues you quote are exactly real in here. I opted the very first thing, interaction. May be I'm not best but my efforts are fruitful to some extent, made good frnds around the world 😊

I really support this message. I think it's so important for Hive's success for all Hivers to receive value they feel they deserve from their posts. Understanding how to use the tags is important and there is so much opportunity for more tools to be made that will aggregate all the value hive holds but only few are able to unlock.

On the other hand, you want to avoid tag spamming and be mindful of the community guidelines when using their tags. Such as, you don't want to use hive-gaming for unrelated posts...

No one likes to see undervalued posts, and you've proved that with few tags and getting good curation results with this post!
