What is selfless service?

It is when you offer your service without any wish for returns. As simple as that.

You can either offer money or your skills as a service for someone who is in need of it.

Always remember that it does not mean you should go out of your way to help someone who is a fraud or greedy. Some people put on an innocent face and contact you only when they are in need.

Sounds familiar?

Such people try to take what you have and then ignore and even forget you and do not bother to keep in touch with you.

So, try to help those people who are genuine and only if you have the ability to part with money or service.

If you do want to help others, try giving food packets to the homeless or such persons as the elderly who might need help with food and such.

For example, if an elder lives in your locality and he or she is alone and they need help paying their bills or walking to the shop, please make sure to drop in and help them.

One need not repeat prayers by heart. Doing little acts of service such as the above is enough for you to get blessings.

Always be alert and do not part with your valuable information with people even if they are familiar or close to you.
