The word of my Father

Zed told his parents that he is a grown man now, that he would not go places with his family's driver as long as he can take care of himself, his father said no, that he would not allow that in his house, he should allow the driver to take him where he wants to go but Zed insist to go alone without a driver, he told them, he is going to a birthday party with his friends so he doesn't need a driver the father still didn't like it and then it was his mother who told his father to let him go with the car.

His father warns him never to speed, to drive carefully and not to drink too much at the party so that he can handle the wheel perfectly, he said "Yes, dad", he would do as he tells me, he had gone outside, he was accompanied by two friends, making him the third person in the vehicle, they successfully arrived at the party and Richard, being the celebrant, welcomed them and gave them a seat as his friends, he introduced them to their relatives and family members.

He offered them food and drinks, he told them that he was so happy that they could come all the way from their state just to celebrate his birthday with him, Zed replied, he is such a good friend to them that it makes them happy to witness his eighteenbirthday too, they drink and eat, sing happy birthday songs to him, making everyone pay attention to their table, their style was unique, and the people who attended the birthday party seems to like them.

It was already night, Richard told them not to go because it was late, he knew that driving at night was dangerous but Frank said he could drive perfectly, Zed didn't want to go because he remembered what his father told him, He knew that he have had a high level of alcohol, so he didn't want to go, but Frank convinced him and the other that he could drive, they shouldn't worry about anything.

Just like he said, he didn't drive fast, which makes him a good driver, but because he had had enough to drink, he couldn't see what was in front of him, at some point, he falls asleep at the wheel while his friends didn't notice but were shouting as if they were giving a speech at the public without a microphone. Frank, who was driving the vehicle, fell asleep by mistake and took the car to the high sea, which was located beside the breach, nobody knows how Zed managed to survive, the news reaches his parents and they blame him so much for not listening to them.

Richard's family heard the news and asked his son "why didn't his friends stay the night after his birthday party?" He answered, "he had told them not to go, but Frank convinced them that he would drive". Richard cried for losing two friends on their way back from his birthday party, Zed barely told the other side of his story, although his friends' family got mad at him and wanted to put him in jail, but he was found innocent as it was just an accident and not a murder case.

As the wind blows so hard and the weathervane keeps turning, making the weather cooler and all the animals rush to their habitats, Zed sits on his wooden chair and looks up at the sky, wishing it would have been better if he had listened to the advice of his father that day and go with a driver, that his friends would still have been alive.
