My 'Sago' Pudding recipe || Tasty homemade dessert!
It's Friday again. That means it's time for a food fight. Staying at home gave me an opportunity to experiments on different food recipes and implementing them in my kitchen. I'm not sure if you are familiar with 'Sago' or not, but it's similar to 'Boba' or 'Tapioca'. Yeah, the pearl you get on the boba tea.
I wouldn't say I'm a big fan of Sago. It's not a common dessert in my country also. So, I didn't get to know many cooking options with sago. But after learning some of them, I became surprised. And, I think this pudding can be one of the best desserts we have ever have.
It doesn't look good. Because it's not that sticky and it's hard to give it a proper shape. But you can use a 'shaped' bowl to serve it in a pleasant way. You can add different fruit, jello in it and dry fruit also as a topping. Make it tasty in your own way.
So, here's how I make it!
Take 250gm of Sago.
Soak it in water for almost five hours and more if necessary.
Boil it in full cream milk until it cooked well. Add sugar as per your taste. When you see a transparent color, remove from oven/gas.
I add some mango ice cream with the milk to give it extra flavor.
Also, some fruit and jelly!
Put it in a bowl or serving glass for two hours. After cooling down put it in the freeze for another hour. And, it's done!
Cut it or use a spoon to enjoy the dessert.
You see, how easy it is. It takes some time but very easy to prepare. If you are a parent of a toddler son then you must try it. It's kids' favorite. I have seen some recipes where they add chocolate in it. You can try it too. Also, you can add many fruits and even candy to make it more delicious. I guess, our kids will love this.
