Splinterlands - Toughness Repair

Armor Smith

The theme for this week Splinterland's post is Armor Smith and its Repair Ability. I remember when orbs were starting to get introduced into the game and the Armor Smith became very popular. It's ability was so popular I remember being able to reach Champion level just with the use of life formation at level 3 summoner. That was a long time ago relative to where the game is today, but now there are many ways players have figured out on neutralizing Armor Smith. In any case some matches it is still worth using in battles and I will go over one where I used my level 4 gold foil version.

My Formation

I started with Grumpy Dwarf which has a solid toughness and decent health. Then follow up by Silvershield Warrior, and Feral Spirit. Then finish off with Divine Healer, Silvershield Archers, and Armor smith. I placed Armor smith last in hopes of having it stay alive the longest and provide toughness to the remainder of the formation.

My Opponent's Formation

My opponent also uses life splinter but has a Paladium at level 3 so just by summoner I have the upper hand. Their formation consists of Baby Unicorn, Crystal Werewolf, Feral Spirit. Then finishes with Truthspeaker, Herbalist, and Peacebringer. Note that the Truthspeaker and Herbalist are level 1 so just by level of monsters I have the upper hand in monster levels too. With additional toughness due to rule set it is beneficial to go with life splinter and both of us went that direction.

Battle Results

The match was an example of why I made a mistake putting Armorsmith at the rear. Spirit's sneak ability took a quick knockout of my Armorsmith. However due to my higher level monsters I was able to overtake my opponent and finish off with ease. This is likely because I have higher level monsters and summoner.
