Splinterlands - My Summoners Update

Over the course of the last two months I have been investing a lot of my hive/steem liquidity into Splinterlands cards. Main reason is I love playing the game. Latter reason is I hope to turn this into a profitable investment. We shall see. In less than a year I have been able to amass the alpha summoners that I started out with just a level 1 Lyanna Natura and have not almost a full level 4 collection for my main account to use. I am currently on the look out for a decent price level 4 Lyanna Natura and within my buy power to obtain.

In addition I am able to start adding some legends into my collection and some alphas that I have been using as beta or have yet to own an alpha version of. I was able to finally get an alpha Twisted Jester and in a strange twist able to amass a few low level of them.

I will fully recap all my card additions for the month of June when July sets in and I write about my monthly collection update. Yet certainly June has been one of the months where I put in significant amount of crypto into forfeiting my deck. I am now easily able to get to diamond II with my collection, but hope at near end of season I can make a bigger push and reach Champ II? We shall see.

How I amassed my level 4 alpha Summoners?

The key was patience. As I was saving my season winnings and post earnings every single week I barely spend all my capital at once, because I had the intention to level up my alpha summoners. Very recently some players were unloading their alpha summoners at slightly less than the current lowest market price and I had saved enough to make the purchases. This took months to hold off temptation from purchasing other type of cards but in return once someone had a relatively decent sale price I had enough liquidity to make the purchase. Basically I was trying to buy low so that in the future I could sale it at a profit.

What is Next?

For the month of June the intention was to strengthen my deck and the initial plan to do so was to purchase Untamed cards. At the beginning I was on that boat buy purchasing some Untamed Legends. However the alphas cards that came available got me focused on purchasing more alphas and since the series is getting ever so limited I was betting on the increase in value of alpha that lead me to purchasing them over Untamed.

Not to say I did not accumulate Untamed cards. As a matter of fact I earned a couple of free Untamed packs from @clover71 over the month and have keep most of those Untamed cards. I had also purchased some singles that I know would benefit my deck.

The plan is still to find cards to strength my deck and although I spent a majority on Alpha there were also multiple Beta and Untamed cards I added to my collection. The initial cards I will be looking to add will likely be legends since I lack many of them across all seasons. Since Untamed is still in circulation I will focus my efforts in amassing those first. In the mean time also see if I can snatch some reward legends.
