A little spring from our garden

avatar
(Edited)

A year ago, our garden was mostly brown and bleak. This spring, thanks to good winter rain (and spring rain still falling), things are very different.

Based on the blossom, and the early fruit set, we could have plums

Limes

Oranges

The garden is filled with the perfume citrus blossom.

The colours make my heart sing.

These indigenous daisies were one of the first other-than-food or herb plants I planted after we found water a year ago.

I am looking forward to more new beginnings. Oh, and watch this space for more garden loot that ends up in my kitchen and on our dinner plates!
Now, prompted by my good friend @simplymike, this has also become a cheeky entry into her monthly #gardenchallenge! Appreciate your shopping by, Mike, and giving me a nudge...

Until next time, be well

Looking great!!

Haha, it's a bit funny. The garden journal challenge is live, you finally have a garden post, and now you don't add it 😂

I'd say, pop the tag and a link in this post, and leave a comment on my post and you're in 😉

🤣🤣🤣

You know, it did occur to me this morning and then as quick as the thought arrived, it left. With all that's been going on...with The Husband having surgery and associated scares, the brain's not been functioning. Happily, things are looking up. So thank you for the prod, I appreciate it. Popping over with the link and another thank you!

Yes, thank you. Stitches out today and confirmation of the all clear. I believe.

It's been wonderful to hear about all the rain in the Cape, your garden is singing again, and the promise of some fruit from your garden this year is sooo good!
