Funday Sunday

An unexpected fun Sunday. Because we had planned a rare lunch outing, The Husband's usual Sunday breakfast was off the table. Literally. Instead, market friend gift of muffins.

On arrival we discovered a birthday party and briefly joined in the festivities before adjourning to our table. This cellar has the prettiest view which is enhanced by the resident blue cranes.

Then we were invited to rejoin the birthday festivities at the birthday girl's home. A particularly happy occasion as a year ago she was staring death in the face. She survived lymphoma and the final toast of the evening, of her and her partner as they contemplate their move to Scotland: "Lang may yer lum reek".

Until next time, be well

Sounds like a really lovely day, isn't it wonderful to have contact with the world again and start doing normal fun stuff again!
I looovvve that plate of yours, tooo gorgeous 🤩
Have a wonderful (loadshedding) week Fiona, my freezer died this weekend and I blame it on the power surge so remember to turn off/unplug precious appliances 😉

Yes it was really good to have some semblance of normality - and fun! We all agreed that it felt a bit like the old days...

So sorry about your freezer. Daisy Dishwasher's playing up which, besides being a dud Defy (another story for another time), we think is partly to blame on loadshedding and power surges. That said, and she whispers - they keep on forgetting to flip the switch, so McGregor's been blissfully unaffected. Long may that last... 🤞

Hope you have a good, uneventful week, Lizelle

Don't say that too loud Fiona, we're having it twice a day, so irritating! We used to be in a block that hardly ever used to have loadshedding but someone got wise to that!
We've been fortunate to have the training centre guests from early Jan but the normal leisure and business guests are slowly coming back so it's starting to feel more like normality.
Have a wonderful week!
