Welcome to the curation report #16 for the Discord Community of @r2cornell. Our membership as of Sunday is 511. We have curated 198 publications as of Sunday morning. On Saturday I delegated close to 2000 moreSP to the Curation Project account, for a total of 20,000 from my account. The rest of what has been delegated came from alt accounts or family members (plus 1 follower). I continue to vote on comments on the report with @r2cornell account. This allows us to have more power for curating publications.

I never know what I am going to write about when I begin this section of the report. I usually just start typing and see what comes... Sometimes I have to come back to it if the words do not come.

I have noticed that the unnecessary down-voting as eased up. I must admit, I had to "down-vote" one person for using my logo without permission. @mack-bot got to the person before me. I also recently received a "down-vote" (@dsc-r2cornell) for a someone we had curated their post but it was found to be plagiarized photos. Our comment was down-voted (although there was no voting on the comment. I find it curious that a couple of other curation project had also curated the post, although only @dsc-r2cornell was the only one down-voted. The comment we use when curating was whitelisted by steemcleaners as we began this project. There is no way for us to know if someone is using plagiarized material when we are curating. If they have been down-voted for such activity we should not be curating the post. When I find out I remove our vote and either leave a different comment or just delete the original.

Nunca sé sobre qué voy a escribir cuando empiece esta sección del informe. Normalmente sólo empiezo a escribir y veo lo que viene... A veces tengo que volver a ello si las palabras no vienen.

He notado que el voto negativo innecesario se ha suavizado. Debo admitir que tuve que "bajar la votación" a una persona por usar mi logotipo sin permiso. @mack-bot llegó a la persona antes que yo. También recientemente recibí un "down-vote" (@dsc-r2cornell) para una persona que habíamos curado su post pero se encontró que eran fotos plagiadas. Nuestro comentario fue rechazado (aunque no hubo votación sobre el comentario. Me parece curioso que un par de otros proyectos de curaduría también hayan curado el post, aunque sólo @dsc-r2cornell fue el único que fue votado negativamente. El comentario que usamos cuando curamos fue incluido en la lista blanca de Steemcleaners cuando empezamos este proyecto. No hay forma de saber si alguien está usando material plagiado cuando estamos curando. Si han recibido una votación negativa para tal actividad, no deberíamos estar conservando el post. Cuando me entero, quito nuestro voto y dejo un comentario diferente o simplemente borro el original.

CONCLUSION

This brings us to the end of our 16th Curation Report. There are many publications listed in our community post-promotion channels. I cannot imagine how long our report would be if we included all of the publication links. As always I encourage you to visit as many of those as you can, in addition to those in this report, to help support each other.

I would like to also bring to your attention another curation project that is geared toward Spanish publications. I do not know a lot about them, although I see from their publications they have been curating publications for awhile. They do not have a lot of Steem Power and I am sure they could benefit from any size delegation. I also noticed they curate some of the same publications as we do. I will follow with a link to their blog and discord server.
