Found Symphony and the Playlist Update

Hi all. Remember some days ago when I said there was a song I had heard, couldn't get out of my head and for the life of me couldn't find it's title no matter how much I researched? Well I finally found it! I give you;

The Final Countdown
by Cristelo.

When I first heard it last week I was so sure it wasn't the first time I was hearing that enchanting melody, and as fate would have it, I was right. Turns out it's actually quite a popular tune originally released under the same name in 1986 by a Swedish rock band called Europe.

The Original Version
by Europe.

It's been so popular that over the years it's been featured in many movies/series soundtracks, is the theme song of the NBA's own Detroit Pistons(Very likely to have heard it through this team as I enjoy a good NBA game every now and then.), and certainly by motivational speakers and/or ponzi schemes recruiters.

Tune is so refined it even has it's own SpongeBob rendition and an orchestra cover(My favorite.) both of which are very easy to find on youtube. However I only downloaded the original, the piano and orchestra versions.

Anyways, my ear drums are thankful, my self prescribed ocd is now in hibernation, since I found it all is swell.

The Playlist Update:

In the spirit keeping up with the musical theme, let's talk about Ange's infamous playlist. Lately I've been going on download benders every day or so all in the aim of updating it. Ironically enough, so far said updates mostly consist of oldies, oldies that used to make my days before my laptop completely croaked a few years back and my audio portfolio along with it.

Pouf! And just like that I had lost over 4k songs in an instant, and the infamous playlist was no more. For real though, at school, in the neighborhood and even with relatives I was one of the most coveted music dealers.

Now that I think about it I probably should have charged the fiends. Did that with porn cds for a very short period in high school though, the profit margins were insane. 🤣🤣😊 Shhhhh

Among the lost songs there was the whole collection of Bob Marley's albums, a plethora of old classics, and even more hip hop mixtapes/albums. Jahmin music, jumpy music or head bobbin music, I had numerous albums from each genre. Not just in English but also in French, Kinyarwanda and sometimes languages I couldn't understand to my save life.

It's sad, especially now since I barely have 300-600 songs, most of which I've grown tired of. Damn I miss my old playlists!

About the download benders, I was on one this morning. The songs I downloaded include a few Kendrick Lamar songs from the EP called EP, classics from J.Cole and Royce Da 5'9's catalog, and Stuart Little Celine Dion's I'm Alive among many others.

And I'm not done yet, I'm keeping a page in my phone's notepad which I'm updating slowly by slowly, and then I go download the chosen ones when I can. I'm certain my playlist won't get to it's former glory anytime soon, specially since I can't track all my sources but hey, I can try at least.

PEACE!!

WOW, really? Thats damn hard to take when loosing all that music. Electronics, Laptops and all are super cool but when they break, we may loose part of our life. 'Backup' is the keyword here. Am telling that myself as well, all the time: "Get a decent Backup routine in place", but still have to set this up, after having more than 30 years computers at my finger tips :) Hope you'll be able to increase the 600 tracks you have to include new stuff you really like.

I dare you: click me!

WOW, really?

Yeah, it was heart breaking indeed. Just like I'd been looking to back my files, sadly the laptop died before I could do so and I was only left with a fraction of them surviving in my phone. But live and learn right?

Hope you'll be able to increase the 600 tracks you have to include new stuff you really like.

That's the plan, added 3 more albums to my collection this morning.

And cheers for passing :)

Just downloaded 3 more albums.

Hahaha, 6 albums with an average of lets say 8 tracks per album is a good 30 tracks; 5%+ hahaha

That would be a really well known song. Noe the piano player has a bit of talent but as soon as you I hear the first few bars it's obvious which song he is playing. Glad you found it. I know with myself that something like that will bug me until I can fond what I am looking for.

It's great to have a proper selection of music so it's a balls that you lost your playlist. You need at least a thousand for variety and some of the best are the oldies. I still love 90's and don't hear much at the moment that has any lasting power like those songs did. Bob Marley, 2pac, even some of the pop is still great to gear popping up on the phone.

Now that I think about it I probably should have charged the fiends. Did that with porn cds for a very short period in high school though, the profit margins were insane. 🤣🤣😊 Shhhhh

But the quality was terrible on those old dvd's. The ones with the photocopied labels all downloaded from limewire and copies burned. Easy money back in the day.

Yeah, a thousand songs will do the trick. And I agree with you, I still do prefer my oldies though for me the 2000s also includes a lot of them for me.

Pac was dope and Bob, well Bob is a World of his own. Some days back then I'd randomly pick a day and just jahm to his masterpieces only.
