Easy Fartlek on Hills
I just finished a 8.475km running that lasted about 0hh:41mm:31ss !
Today is bank Holidays at Barcelona city, excellent to go for a run without any time constraint but the family duties.
I woke up late, I did cook the 1st dish of the lunch for later, a sort of boiled vegetables called "Minestra" and I escaped to my prefered and nearest hill, Montjuich.
As I said I a past post, this week is supposed to be a "soft week" in terms of intensity and so, no specific intervalic training was planned but... I did instead an easy fartlek of 2' Fast + 2' Slow changes during the whole journey but the warm-up. As I said, running on hills independently if you are uptrend or downtrend and the conditions of the pavement, if the clock marks the 2' alarm I am running FAST or SLOW...always by feelings.
As a consequence, I get different paces for the same level of "stress", from 4'40/km to 3'30"/km if it was downslope run.
In total 8 changes of 2+2 minutes, 16' of High intensity + 16' of low intensity + warm-up.
Keep on running!
