Morning Run - Es regnet
I just finished a 8.608km running that lasted about 0hh:47mm:59ss !
That is German for "it is raining". Actually it was not raining when I set out on a cool morning, but it started once I was well under way. I wanted to do more intervals and went with my workout with six lots of 800m/200m reps.
I wanted somewhere flat and straight to do this and the track across the fields is ideal. That did mean getting past the kids on their way to Etonbury, but it was not too busy. They just seem oblivious to anyone else on the path and do not always get out of the way. The gravel track was nice and empty apart from a few dog walkers.
With the 800m sprints I aim to be under 5min/km and I managed that for most of them. I needed the recovery time between them and walked for a bit on one of those. The rain did not bother me too much, but my bare arms felt a little cold. I just had to keep pushing on. I turned around after the third sprint and found the wind was against me, but that was only for a short while before I turned a corner. It was on the way back that I was starting to struggle. I just gave it a push for the last sprint and then took it easy to get home.
As I came across the garden I picked a few raspberries. We are getting an extra crop even as the leaves are falling and I got a handful.
There is a Hive Running Club on Strava if you want to join us. It is just a bit of fun.
Run free and stay well.

Good run. Although not intentional, the newspaper headline caught my attention. That's a catchy title :P
I was reading The New European. They have some interesting articles and not all are political. We shall have to see how Biden gets on with the UK government.
I think they will be fine. Biden is a politician and they would like to have UK on their side. Although I don't follow UK politics closely but the new green deal Boris came up with before the COP 26 meeting could be a common point in their potentially liberal agenda.
I don't have tracks here but uphill kind on road and it's very exhausting running on the snow but it is fun
We don't get much snow here, but there is a good network of paths for people to walk around the area. I am just not keen on running through lots of mud, but some people actually enjoy it!
Air Horns work well, don't blow it until you are right upon them!
Like I need more stuff to carry! A polite 'excuse me' ought to be enough.
Not as much fun tho!
You are a toublemaker. I run to de-stress, not cause aggro.
😀
Is strava a new platform, I am new here.
Good run however
Strava is one of the big running apps, but it does not directly use Hive. @exhaust can sync to it to pick up your runs. Do you run?
I rarely do. I do more of cross fit.
Read your post and I wanted to be sure it was some other platform.
I remember a time my wife and I drove back and forth between our house and the park about three times trying to figure out what the rain was going to do. It can be a real pain sometimes.
The forecast said the rain would be later, so it was a bit of a surprise. I have been out in much worse, but I try to avoid getting soaked generally.
Thanks for continuing to make Hive awesome.
*When someone tells you that what you want to do is impossible, change the word in your head to hard. What you want to do is hard. Hard is doable – it just requires dedicated work and effort and you can make it happen.

You need to stake more BEER (24 staked BEER allows you to call BEER one time per day)
Oh i didnt kmow that... strava is a great app for keeping track and measuring runs, I have never really bothered using the social side of it, I'll give it a go!
