I just finished a 34.166km cycling that lasted about 1hh:44mm:33ss !
To keep the alternate days run/bike streak going, late afternoon, I went for a bike ride as planned. Just like 2 days ago, no predefined plan on the distance, duration or route. Just randomly picking streets and pathways, until the sun disappears and it's time to find my way back home somehow. I ended up riding more than 21 miles, much longer than I expected. And the good news is I didn't feel too sore or particularly tired. Let's be honest, the only body part really hurting right now is my behind! The chamois wasn't enough to protect it. That's no surprise, after more than a month without biking, 55km in 2 rides with just one day in between, no amount of chamois could have saved my butt!
I once again went through some really nice residential areas, with several local parks, that are probably worth visiting again with more time. It's really nice to discover or rediscover some of these places, all quite close from home. I saw runners, dozen of walkers with or without dogs, clearly I chose the time everybody else also chose to be active. With a mostly sunny weather and the temperature in the high 60s, that makes sense.
It might be a bit too much, but I'm hoping to go for another run tomorrow, an active rest day on Saturday (with hiking), and finally a run on Sunday. That would be the perfect active week. Let's see how it goes.
Till then, keep Exhausting!
