bmx exercise

After a break of two weeks, the bmx practices are back. At least for my son @niko.lemark. You can see him here, in the last practice race of the exercise session, riding in a second place.

While Niko was at the training I had a luxury of one hour to go for a run. My main goal for the next five weeks is to prepare legs and head to run the flat and asphalt runs in hot conditions.

Near the bmx track there are plenty flat and asphalt roads. The day was hot and humid so all the conditions were met.

I took a longish loop which was supposed to be more than 10 K long. Among other local attractions I passed the doggy exercise ground which was empty. It is summer after all.

Further on I notice this big sing on a concrete wall above the Ljubljana ring byway. Green Dragons are the local football supporters of FC Olimpija.

At the same spot, turning to the right there were fields of corn, probably. You can feel the duality of urban running here.

The run was 11.5 K long with a short break near the end to see Niko racing. There is also a video of the race and I intend to post it under his account.

After the bmx and running exercise Niko went to the trampoline park to do some flips and turns while I enjoyed a well deserved #beer.

The map of the run.

Goals met, mission accomplished. Tomorrow is another day.

Thank you. Yes, he is good in all freestyle sports. Yesterday he told me he wants to go to regular weekly training of freestyle bmx too in the autumn. As if the mtb and race bmx sessions aren't enough :)

Have a great day.

Oh that looks like loads of fun. I haven't BMX'd in decades but did it as a child. I miss that.

They do have a lot of fun. The kids were also very tired at the end. It was hot and under all the protective equipment they were completely soaked :)

Have a great day.
