Nicks empezó a cantar mientras Buckingham tocaba.

(English) Stevie Nicks married to music

Stevie Nicks is an American singer-songwriter, best known for her work with Fleetwood Mac and her solo career, which has produced more than 20 hits in the Top 40 charts. She is one of the few rock artists who has maintained a solo career, while also being part of a very successful band.

Since in his youth Nicks' grandfather, Aaron Nicks, was an aspiring country singer who taught him to sing at age four, built him a guitar, and took it to many concerts. After a sixth grade tap dance performance, Nicks decided to be an artist and while attending high school, he met a boy, classmate, and musician named Lindsey Buckingham, who was playing at a party that Nicks went to at 1966. Nicks started singing while Buckingham played.

Likewise Nicks and Buckingham continued together and formed their own band: Buckingham Nicks. In two years, Buckingham Nicks managed to sign with Polydor Records. His album was released in 1973 and went unnoticed. Except for the cover, the pair were naked from the waist up, a daring decision for the time.

On the other hand, the Fleetwood Mac was looking for two new members, that's when it underwent a renovation with the incorporation of its two new members: Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham.

However, Nicks began to have an unfortunate affair with Mick Fleetwood and so she and Buckingham broke up. Despite the band's fragmented nature, it was around this time in the late 70s that they released their best album: Rumors. Notably, many songs on Rumors can be seen as preludes to the members' romantic breakups, including Buckingham's "Second Hand News" and "Never Going Back Again" and Christine McVie's "You Make Loving Fun," which was written about their adventure. So while Rumors became Billboard's No. 1 album and even though they won a Grammy for Album of the Year, the members themselves were falling apart.

To this day, while he still has his solo stuff, Nicks is a member of Fleetwood Mac. He may have had scandals, but Stevie Nicks' career is full of accomplishments as well. Since '77, Nicks has won two Grammys with Fleetwood Mac, been nominated for a Grammy 14 times and has two recordings in the Grammys Hall of Fame.

In 2019, Nicks made history: She was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for the second time, becoming the first woman in music history to achieve that.
