Album of the day "Cosmo's Factory" by Creedence Clearwater Revival. The best album of this band! (for me😎)

It's about time for another chapter of my "Album of the day" series, which will also be my first post in the "Music 4 Life" community.

First of all a little introduction about me and my relationship with music.

I'm not a musician, or at least I don't consider myself as such, although in school I learned to play the guitar and at the age of 15, in the early 1990s, I was in a small band where we played covers of Rock bands. "Smell like teen spirit" by Nirvana, "Two princes" by Spin Doctors, "Alive" by Pear Jam, "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin, "Nutshell" by Alice In Chains and many songs by Guns and Roses and Metallica were part of our repertoire. That went on for two years until we had to start the Mandatory Military Service (in Cuba it is mandatory before entering university for the male population) and that was the end of it.

From all this experience I was left with a big love for the music that has grown over the years.

And it also derived in a small collection of vinyl records that are the ones I present in this series that today brings an album of one of the most recognized bands of Southern Rock.

"Cosmo's Factory" by Creedence Clearwater Revival!

Cosmos Factory Cover

This was the fifth album by Creedence Clearwater Revival (I will refer to them as CCR, they have a very long name😄) in 1970 and for me, the best of all their albums.

There is always an album where you can "feel" the cohesion and mastery that a musical band can achieve over time and for CCR that was this album. Of course, next on the list is "Pendulum" which was their sixth release and has the band's most famous song "Have You Ever Seen The Rain". But the defining album will always be "Cosmo's Factory".

Cosmos Factory BackCover

The version I own is a 2008 reissue for Europe. It was the third reissue released by the famous "Back to Black" series. This is a series of vinyl reissues that started in 2008 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the "LP Vinyl" and became a music label specialized in the reissue of original classic albums on 180 gram vinyl.

Cosmos Factory BackCover Detail

I have had the opportunity to see and hear an original 1970 pressing of this CCR album and I can tell you that the reissue of the "Back to Black" series has no difference, or at least none that I could tell, in terms of the sound of the music and the cover artwork. If you are looking for this album and find a copy of this series don't hesitate to buy it.

It is an incredible reissue of the "Cosmo's Factory".

Cosmos Factory Center Label

And to finish as usual, I leave you a Youtube video with songs from the album "Cosmo's Factory".

Enjoy!

All photos were take by me with iPhone 8 and fixed in Adobe Photoshop.

Thank you very much for this wonderful musical reminder! CCR were one of the first rock bands that I listened to, even as a toddler! Many of their songs were lullaby songs for me and when I reached the 9th grade in high school I simply loved this studio album and listened to it on repeat! You rock, man! Keep up the good work. Thank you for making my day more beautiful! Stay safe! :)

P.S.: The gifted Fogerty brothers (both very talented songwriters and guitarists) alongside the rhythm section comprising Stu Cook on bass and drummer Doug Clifford on drums will never be forgotten by me or by any long time CCR fan! They are true legends and I am very grateful for having listened to their music since I was a toddler onwards! :)

I'll sure stay safe and take care of myself and of my loved ones, man! Perhaps I will actually write a bit about CCR the upcoming days here on HIVE, who knows? I'd very much like to pick another album of theirs and briefly describe my experience with it. So many pleasant memories with CCR, I swear. John, Doug, and Stu are still alive. I feel so bad for late Tom. :(

I can leave "Pendulum" to you😁. Was thinking to dedicate one of my nexts posts of the series to that one because is the other one I have from them.

I feel so bad for late Tom.:(

Will never be forgotten! Living in the CCR music!
