The harmful side of anger & the bright side of controlled anger

Recently, I spoke about "Anger Management is a necessity" in one of my posts. But I also felt the necessity to elaborate it. Anger is harmful, but how? When anger is controlled, it benefits us...... how? Come along with me

The harmful side of excessive anger

Anger is one of our many protection mechanisms. When we feel wronged, it comes to put us in a position of action. In other words, it is an intense response to a threat. If we believe we are in danger, the most logical thing to do is to look for a defense, right?

In modern society, we get angry at people in traffic, long queues, frustrations at work, and even news in the media. Most of the time, these are situations in which we cannot do anything to change. The feeling of helplessness irritates even more than what happened itself.

Although it is and has been a useful feeling for the evolution of human beings, it is better that excess anger is avoided.
Certainly, you and many people collect occasions when you acted or said something you didn't want. Words that hurt someone special or had irreversible consequences, like a layoff. Anger is a major cause of conflict in our lives. And the worst: it is invasive to the point of taking care of us completely.
In addition, people who are constantly angry are more likely to develop cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal problems, chronic headaches, and suffer a stroke. The frantic release of negative reactions eventually also damages our mental health, allowing psychological disorders to arise.

The bright side of controlled anger

Anger moderate can show us what is wrong in our lives. It can encourage us to look for solutions to problems that trouble us: seeking to acquire motivation that is superior to insecurity and shame.

Furthermore, we are more aware of the injustices around us, generating social changes of great significance. Just think of the great transformations in your country and in the world that we soon identified where the anger is located. (Sounds like fiction).
It is evident, therefore, that feeling is also beneficial to our health. Since we were children, we are taught to contain it so as not to disturb others or make the wrong impression. After all, nobody likes to live with a person known for his fury attacks.
However, excess negativity can overwhelm us and also have catastrophic implications for our physical and mental. After releasing bad emotions, in addition to being calm, we managed to move forward to face the next challenges with a clear mind.
The anger also helps us unload the tension since not always have a quiet moment to rebalance emotionally in the stress of everyday life.
However, it is necessary to understand the difference between releasing our frustrations in a fit of anger and handling feelings (resentment, anger, frustration) and negative behaviors (teasing, provocation, lack of patience). One is harmful not only for us but for everyone around us. The other is a way of preventing the first.

In order to improve our quality of life, our interpersonal relationships, and work performance, we must have the emotional intelligence necessary to vent healthy.

Every emotions is one of the characteristics of our being. But none of it must be treated and over emphasized. When something comes to excess, it goes more beyond boundary of control. Beautiful post

To be angry is not bad but what you say and do during the period of anger is what is usually being judged. It is necessary that we learn to control our anger else bwe cause damages that can't be repaired.

Hello @sholly1
Talking about these negative emotions makes it difficult for me to visualize them as being of any benefit.
But what you're saying makes sense, there have been times when I've been able to do things that I thought I couldn't, only after a great deal of anger.

But the best thing is to control everything and not let those emotions dominate us.
