Many altcoins have started to rise and that rise is not modest, it is quite important, unfortunately for Monero Dash Zcash there is no good news, the Bittrex Exchange has just announced the removal of these three cryptocurrencies from its list for January 15, to give you time for all its clients to transfer those tokens elsewhere, this has generated a drop in Dash of 11%, XMR 15% and ZEC 9%.
New regulations on cryptocurrency have come out in the United States, it will be a fierce battle between the governments of the world and the Exchange that represent the users, the governments fear Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, because they think that it threatens Fiat money in addition to help criminal organizations through money laundering, but I think it is an exaggeration I believe that governments intend to impose taxes on crypto assets and little by little they will legislate more and more, in my opinion damages the freedom and privacy of crypto assets.
With the latest regulations, the US government intends to know how much money you have in your wallet, something similar so they would pretend to know how much cash you have in your house, there is no other reason, they intend to apply tax laws on crypto assets in the future.
Those harmed today are XMR, DASH and ZEC but all other cryptocurrencies must unite in their defense, this situation could worsen in the coming months and governments could continue to legislate the crypto world in a harmful way, I have no doubt that this will be a legal battle and that the cryptocurrency community will come together to be stronger, I leave you to reflect with the poem “First they came” by the German Martin Niemöller on what happened in Nazi Germany.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me
