Do we humans actually have an impact on climate? or not?

Greetings dear readers, especially to the friends of the community @Project.HOPE, with this question-type publication I wanted to break my usual writing style, ordinarily based on methodological connectors and inferences supported by scientific arguments. The reason that encouraged me to write this manuscript with a more natural style has to do with giving my opinion and answering the questions formulated by my friend @crypto.piotr in the publication entitled Economic Boycott and Climate Change:

I trully do not know who to believe when it comes to topic of "climate change". I've come to realization that current pandemic may actually provide me with answers to some serious questions, like: do we HUMANS actually have an impact on climat? or not?

Fig. 2 Climate change is directly linked to the loss of biodiversity. Image of public domain, Author: Tumisu, 2017

This question from the friend @crypto.piotr, arises when he relates if climate change really has any relation with the activities that we humans usually carry out in modern times, he basically focused his point of view on manufacturing, air flights and gasoline consumption, although according to environmental experts, the decrease of these activities during the 8 months of the COVID-19 pandemic has had a favorable impact on the environment, it is also true, that the environmental deterioration has levels that cannot be reached with the simple fact of paralyzing the activities of the industrial, transport and hydrocarbon sectors, since the real problem implicit in climate change is not only associated with atmospheric imbalances, but also with the loss of biodiversity, in other words, climate change is due to the disappearance of large extensions of natural vegetation, and the reduction of wild animals that is generated day after day because of anthropogenic activities.

Therefore, the answer is that we do have a direct impact on the climate, and in order to express my opinion I must insist that the outcome of climate change does not only correspond to increases in carbon dioxide, temperature and imbalances in the rainy season, since the most important elements are related to the loss of natural habitats and the accelerated extinction of both plant and animal species, and these in turn impact negatively on the emergence of deadly pandemics, this because, according to multiple investigations as the forest habitat is reduced, particularly the animals experience loss of body density and biological disorders, which makes them susceptible to attack by pathogenic agents essentially viruses and bacteria, which are then transmitted to us humans.

To close his perspectives the friend @crypto.piotr, expressed the following:

Since pandemic started, manufacturing all over the world slowed down greatly. Airline companies are down, petrol consumption is down. We've reached point we could not reach in any other way -> amount of pollution created has been lowest this year comparing to ... well, anytime during our lifetime.

For that reason I would expect to see some rapid and visible changes within climate. If we won't see any changes happening -> then my assumption is that whatever humans can do, will not matter

I wonder what's your view on that?

It is intuitive that the cessation of activities and the confinement in our homes could act in favor of slowing down climate change, and this we could appreciate when we observe wild animals wandering and occupying certain spaces in large cities, however, implement environmental policies for forest recovery and reforestation to improve affected habitats, generating atmospheric balances, are real actions to slow down climate change, reduce the constant cyclones, storms, and also stop the emergence of deadly pandemics

good article, from my point of view human beings do have a real impact on nature if you have any doubt you can see what is happening on the border of Venezuela with Brazil where they are basically devouring the jungle at a frightening pace.

Greetings @trabajosdelsiglo. First, thank you for your kind visit to the blog, and second, thank you for leaving your appreciation about the serious impact we humans have on nature. Points on which I fully agree with you. It is correct, what is happening with the irrational extraction of gold, or rather what according to experts is the worst natural devastation in the history of the Amazon.

(Edited)

We (I mean, our lifestyle) are fully responsible for everything that is happening with the climate.

@wiseagent I agree with you, without a doubt what is happening with the climate, and its devastating and fatal results in the last two decades, are the result of our lifestyles away from any environmentally friendly behavior. Thank you for your appreciation.

If we have a logical impact on the environment that is not favorable, the constant population growth and the high demand for natural resources will make the problem of global warming even more burdensome. Greetings and thanks for sharing friend @lupafilotaxia.

It is correct professor @carlos84, the environmental impact of the crisis that we have generated with our devouring styles over time, should bring us to the reflection in the search for applying protection measures in environmental matters.
