Recently in the Telegram blog they made a public announcement about the TON Blockchain and GRAM, where they mentioned the Telegram team has been developing a new blockchain platform called the TON Blockchain with a cryptocurrency called Grams, development has been ongoing since 2017.
Since then there have been various speculations about its launch, to the point that false information came out regarding the launch, as well as the cryptocurrency sale offer. In their statement they made it very clear that on the part of the Telegram team there had not been any news related.
Additionally, they take great care to talk about it, so that false communications are not created.
On the other hand, Telegram says that the best way to get information is by visiting their official website or blog where they make public any information regarding Telegram and its projects.
They want to clarify and be very emphatic in saying that they are still preparing for that launch and no source that shows a launch plan is true, unless they make it public in their portal.
Something very important to you that we should all know is that the Grams cryptocurrency does not exist yet, nobody can buy it or sell it before announcing the launch of the TON Blockchain. Please do not be fooled by false news.
One of the announcements by telegram is that they clarify in that statement that TON will be decentralized and maintained by third parties, in this way we can be assured that they will not handle TON and will not have any control over the administration of TON Blockchain.
Something I did not like was the fact when they say that the Grams will not help you get rich, but well I think that would also be the least concern. The important thing is that it goes out to the market to see how it will be received by investors and how the behavior in the Grams exchange will be when it goes out to the market.

Telegram has been passively participating in blockchain technology for a while but a lot of policies have been holding a lot of strong companies who decides to take a turn to the blockchain and have their own currency. I hope this isn't like the facebook libra heat.
You are right, many companies remain parallel and very passive, I would say that they reserve their opinions so as not to generate any kind of misunderstanding.
until they are ready for launch, they keep their arrangements indoors, and quickly what has happened with facebook many companies that want to venture into their own currency, simply put their beards soak while doing what is legally necessary so that it cannot happen at Same as Facebok.
