Let's do this one more time...

I may be discovering that the wheel is round, however, I had no idea about this, so I'm going to do a new tutorial on how to exchange Hive tokens to Steem. I suppose it should serve the opposite purpose as well, i.e. from Steem to Hive.

But I must confess that this would be my last alternative.

This process has made me sweat like you have no idea!

For a moment I thought I had lost all my Hives tokens!!

As you have seen in the title of the post, this time I will use Steem-Engine.

Yes. As you heard, too. Remember "Steem-Engine"?

Possibly, dear reader as well as I, still have some valuable tokens in there, I have a bunch that are not worth more than $3 all together!

Yeah, they make you want to cry... But someday, their price might change, right? Right?

Sometimes I feel like Milhouse Van Houten, thinking that someday Steem-Engine tokens will be worth again T.T

Let's start then.

Step 1. Enter Steem-Engine

Obviously you need a Steemit account to get in.

Step 2. How to deposit the Hive tokens

All right, once you're inside steem-engine, press the "DEPOSIT" button

And you will see the following image, which by default has STEEM as the token for depositing.

Select the small arrow to the right of the text box to display the other tokens you can deposit. Select HIVE

Then, we will click on the button GET DEPOSIT INFO

As we can see in the image above, it tells us which account we should deposit our Hive tokens to and which will be our MEMO.

It is very important to remember these two things, if one of them fails, we will lose ALL our tokens.

This is why I recommend using this only in case of an emergency and that you have no other choice.

As you will remember in my other post you should also remember the account and the memo, however, the previous one was an exchange, so there is always "extra" security since all exchanges have a support service that can help you in all cases. Unlike this one, which already warns you that you will lose ALL your tokens in advance if you make a mistake!!!

All right, then, if you want to leave after this terrible warning, I don't blame you; otherwise, let's continue.

Let's write down the account where we should send the tokens to

steem-tokens

And obviously the memo is unique to each user. So you should look for yours.

In my case, it is: HIVEP jadams2k18

Step 3. Deposit your Hive tokens

Let's go to our hive wallet

So let's transfer the tokens the same way we do all the time (At the end I'll put a video to summarize everything I did). Obviously, entrust yourself to the saint or the God you pray to every day, just in case.

Once transferred, make sure in your wallet history that the transfer has been made

Here's the part that makes me sweat...

Go back to steem-engine and wait for your tokens to arrive (Remember to press F5 key or reload the page from time to time)

As you can see, the tokens I sent have not yet arrived

After 20 minutes and five heart attacks, my tokens finally arrive

Thank God!

Step 4. Exchange your Hive tokens to Steem

Click on the little arrows on the right side, on the same line where your Hive tokens are.

This takes you to the Hive token MARKET.

You can see the price of the Hives tokens on the left side.

If you scroll down a bit, you will find the form where you can sell the Hive tokens.

I recommend that you first enter the amount of Hive tokens you wish to sell and then select the price by clicking on any line in the BUY Orders section.

Yes, I said BUY, I know it means buying, but if you want to sell, the most logical thing to do is to sell at the price they are buying.

Then you click on the Sell HIVEP button

A message will appear to verify if you want to sell your tokens.

Click on SELL and you're done.

Obviously, I recommend you to use Steem Keychain, to confirm your operations in a simple way, as you can see in the following image

If everything went well, a box should appear in the upper right-hand side, indicating that your sales transaction has been completed

Click on WALLET link and we return to the token list and we can appreciate our STEEM tokens

Step 5. Withdraw your Steem tokens

All right, you've got your STEEM tokens, but there's still one more step to go. They need to be sent to your Steemit wallet.

This step is very simple, just click on the WITHDRAW button at the top.

A form will appear for you to withdraw your tokens. Select your amount and then click on the WITHDRAW STEEM button

Again Steem Keychain will ask you to confirm the operation and that's it.

If you check your Steemit wallet

You'll see in your History, the tokens you just received

Finally, I have exchanged 9,168 HIVE and obtained 6,560 STEEM

That's because the price of HIVE is below STEEM price.
