Think DApp, Think Cartesi!

Hello there!

I am here for lovers of DApps and those whoke to interact with them, either as a user or developer. This is to bring to your notice a fast-growing project, it is all about decentralization and getting the best out of it.

The world is changing everyday, there are lots of improvements and upgrades happening day in day out. Sometimes it is overwhelming as it is hard to keep up.

Thanks to the blockchain, most people have seen that the future of internet is all about decentralized applications. There are lots of advantage of using the blockchain-DApps over the traditional applications that are common.
Fault-Tolerant, Prevents Internet Censorship and Increased Trust on the System are few reasons DApps are wanted. More people are interacting with it and adopting it.

There are also some demerits that comes along with it; of which scalability and difficulty in fixing bugs comes on top. These sometimes frustrates users and particularly developers.
This is where the Cartesi project comes in

Cartesi is simply the Operating System for DApps. Talk of DApps, talk of Cartesi.
DApps on Cartesi are to overcome scalability and also the limitations that comes with blockchains.

This is simply because Cartesi is a layer-2 platform for the development and deployment of scalable decentralized applications. Cartesi DApps are composed of both blockchain and off-chain components, and the off-chain components is to make sure the DApps bypass the limitations of the blockchain components.

Cartesi runs on the three fundamental principles – a virtual machine architecture, a crypto-economic protocol, and on-chain dispute resolution.

I am not planning to bore you with this write-up, so I'd mention few features that might interest developers that are about to embark on a project and aspiring ones;

° Cartesi Dapps are composed of both blockchain and off-chain components.

° Cartesi's off-chain components run under a Linux operating system.

° Cartesi allows DApp developers to use all the programming languages and services they are already familiar with.

° With Cartesi, developers get freedom from the limitations imposed by the blockchain. Due to its off-chain components.

° Cartesi is designed to achieve local consensus over its computations.

° Cartesi allows both a plasma chain or a state channel to specify full Cartesi computations within it's transactions.

NOTE: Linux has a high level of security.
