How to win friends and influence people by Dale Carnegie: Let the other person feel that the idea is theirs.

It is necessary to develop a series of conjectures that allow us to arrive at the point of this chapter, that is to say that we must admit and accept in other people to be able to receive an effective cooperation.

I believe that it is not so difficult to understand this point, since the only way that we can collaborate is when we feel stimulated by others, this stimulus as well as we have the need to feel it to collaborate then we must also know that others will feel the same.

This series of consequences makes us think that we will always have more faith in our own thoughts, deductions and reflections than in those that another person shows us, being so then we must also have empathy in that sense with the other people, since it would be a great error on our part to show before the other people an opinion that expresses an error of judgment in other people, In addition to this, it is most likely that we want to impose our own opinions, this undoubtedly makes us lose some sense of collaboration, since imposing our ideas or what we do is that other people move away from us, thus losing any possibility of collaboration of other people with us.

Actually when we start to get cooperation from others is because without realizing it we are already doing things in an inclusive way, that is to say, we have to teach people without them feeling that they are being corrected or criticized, in this way we add more collaborators instead of subtracting, I think it is an excellent tactic when our projects are broad and important and we need people who join to collaborate under a single scheme of satisfactory objectives.

Let's understand that we are not giving in or being weak when we allow another person to join us believing that their whole idea is theirs, it is simply a great strategy to reap the great fruits of tomorrow.

Let's imagine for a moment that we have a business selling different types of chocolates, and a person comes to look for a type of chocolate that we as a seller do not like, and we try to force the customer to buy the chocolate that we like, this imposition will surely drive him away, If we let him buy the one he wants and maybe we give him the one we wanted to sell him, maybe when he tastes it, he will come back and ask for the type of chocolate we wanted to sell him at the beginning.

All this shows that a sense of mutual cooperation can only be achieved by ceasing to implement arbitrary and unequal impositions.

One of the things that happens when people take ownership of an idea is that they defend it and do everything in their power to make that idea materialize, if you are a leader you should know that this helps teams to be better on the other hand if you are a person who likes to draw the attention of others to comply with this principle will not be easy.

Hello @carlos84, certainly when we do not impose our ideas we manage to attract good friends to cooperate in our cause, greetings and thank you for your contribution.
