LMAC: Balloon Festival

When I first saw @shaka’s template a scene came back to mind of the time I was in Nova Scotia and went on a car drive along the rugged coastline. It was a rather windy day and at one area I saw hot air balloons and sky divers drifting above the water. What a spectacular view the participants would see of the beautiful countryside.

Maybe if I was younger hot air ballooning may be a sport I would try. It would be exhilarating to be free of the earth and all it’s cares, in celebration of man’s earliest and most romantic form of flight. But for now I like to keep my two feet on the ground...:)

I think this terrible pandemic has made me value my time and learn to enjoy life, because it is very short.

Have a wonderful Tuesday and try not to step on the cicadas. I see the male makes a shrill droning sound by vibrating two membranes on his stomach. I think he’s playing a two string fiddle. :)

I can tell you it's great and I loved hot air ballooning. It was one of the most exciting and relaxing things I have done in my life - it's so quiet up there in the basket, except when the propane burners are firing.

Wow Hannes, you had a hot air balloon ride. What a great experience. Was it in Austria? Who was in the basket with you? I have lots of questions ... you will have to write a post about it.

Today was sunny but felt cool because of the wind. I hope no frost at night now as I planted my six tomato plants.

Good morning Jo,

yes, I had a balloon ride quite some years ago and it was amazing. I was with my brother in law and a few other people I don't know in the basket, but there was enough space for all. I think I have made a post about it on the other blockchain a while ago. If I can find it I'll tell you the link.

It's still raining here, but tomorrow we will definitely see the sun for a few hours, said the weather lady this morning - we will see 😉

I hope your tomatoes won't get frost tomatoes - it's almost June, there won't be any frost anymore, except in Siberia ;)

I always wanted to do some sky diving when I was younger but have definitely move passed this want now. Hot air ballooning sounds so much more sensible and enjoyable.💜

Hi Angie. Yes I think it is well pass the time for me to do any sky diving but one never knows what risk we would take if the opportunity arises. LOL
