Let's Make a Collage (Round 67) | Behind the facade

* * *

Hello, Hivers artists.

When I looked at @shaka's picture I wondered "what's behind that facade". I thought, "a home". From that idea I started working on my collage for this round 67.

For this work I looked for the interior of a house that was cozy, so an old house with wooden floor and sepia colors harmonized with my idea.

Then, I added some children to make the home come alive. The children are of different ages, there is even a child who visits this house and is playing with a blue balloon. Another child is reading and the youngest is playing with his toy car.

I also thought "where is mommy". Mom is everywhere. Mom is making food, doing laundry, reading a book, or sitting and resting. But Mom's eyes are always watching the children. From there I placed a sketch of Mom on the left side of the collage.

Another detail I loved was to place a grandmother. This grandma enjoys watching her grandchildren happy and playing. She is modern and spoiled. In this collage she is on the "hunt" for a picture for the family album.

I hope you like the concept for this round 67.

Making collages for this community, for me, has been terrific. The freedom of creation of each artist is observed from round to round. If this is the first time you look at one of my artworks I invite you to see all the variety of concepts in Let’s Make a Collage. Discover the most imaginative and creative world of Hive!

As always, I invite you to participate in the current round by following this link Round 67. I accept the submission to the @shaka contest.

For the realization of this collage, I used public domain images - This is very important (below the fonts), and drew freehand the sunset.

jajajajaja, siempre me haces sonreír.

Me relaja y despierta mi creatividad.

Un gran abrazo y feliz semana!

Dear @marcybetancourt,
I'm a mother and a grandmother. This piece touched my heart. Yes, mother is everywhere, even when she is not there. And Grandma gets to be a spectator, and participant, without the work of mother. When I see the facade being pulled away in your piece, I think it looks like the piece of playhouse being installed for the children's enjoyment.

A beautiful collage. Perhaps prosaic, but not so much so, because outside is the forest, always threatening beyond the protective attentions of Grandma and Mom.

Good luck.

Thanks @agmoore for the detail observation. The forest symbolizes to me the houses are not isolated and there can be dangers around them.
A great pleasure that you stopped by my collage. Greetings!
