OPINION: MONEY CAN BUY HAPPINESS

There is a popular notion that money cannot buy happiness in life and a couple of people buy the idea in its entirety. I feel to certain extent it may be true but in the real sense of it money can buy happiness and in fact money is happiness.

Let's take for instance you've been hungry for a while and there is nothing for you to eat. You are laying in bed, rolling left to right trying to get over the feeling of hunger and all of a sudden your phone beeps. You checked the message and it's a credit alert. The happiness that will run through your mind at that moment cannot be measured. I'm sure the next thing is to freshen up and get something to eat.

The feeling of being broke is equal to being sad. When you lack money you'd not be able to do what you are supposed to do. You will reject the offer to hangout with your friends when you are invited because you don't want to feel intimidated when they are paying for food and drinks and you have nothing to offer. You rather look for excuse to not attend.

There is an argument that some rich people are not happy even though they have all the wealth in the world. In such cases where you have abundance of money and you're still not happy it may depend on some other circumstances. Let's say for example, a wealthy man that does not have a child of his own or one who has a child and the child is a nuisance to the family and society at large. In cases like this, all the money he has cannot possibly give him a child or he cannot correct the bad behavior of his child with money - it takes more than money to do this.

Without exceptions like these money can make you happy.
