When People Trying to Cash In From Coronavirus ....
Hi Everyone,
As we continue to hear news around the world about Coronavirus, Australia has been lucky not having any more new cases for over a week. Unfortunately, resources have been low with hand sanitizers, face masks and disinfectants like Dettol. We have slowly seen stock coming back to some stores and pharmacy but major supermarkets like Woolworths, Coles, and Aldi are still out of stock with hand sanitizers. The new bottles I bought 2 weeks ago were $8 but they were 1L which would last some time with the small pocket ones were selling at $2 which was quite reasonable.
Unfortunately, I was in Broadway Shopping Centre today and saw a pharmacy stocked up on hand sanitizers and Dettol but they were selling them for at least 5x the usual price. This pharmacy is one of the larger ones in the area and is appalling to see them trying to cash in from this virus. I just couldn't believe it so I thought I should show you what they were charging. Dettol hand sanitizer selling at $14.99 for just 200mls! A small bottle of 60mls will set you back $11! Did I tell you I bought a heap of them from somewhere else for $2? I hope people will steer away from shops like these and buy from those who charge at reasonable prices.

Unfortunately this happens during every small or Big crisis, but i agree it is totally appalling when you see people profitting from others misfortune in this way!

@travelgirl, I may be wrong but in some cases it can be due to Lack Of Supply or something very Economic aspect but in my opinion in some cases Pharmacy Stores reflects the signs of Opportunism. Stay blessed.

Its strict if you are shoplifting .... its a big no no.
Yes hand santisers alternative to washing if you are out and about. But best to use soap and wash your hands
