New Years Eve, COVID19 Cases On The Rise, Lockdown?

Hi Everyone,

New Years Eve for 2020 but I don't feel the joy in the city of Sydney. Most people I have spoken to are worried with the new outbreak we are having in the city and the outlook of having a lockdown is coming near. The numbers are rising, people are scared and staying at home, those are out are just buying for a few days in case we cannot go out. I was one of those out today to get some Asian grocery and meat so in case something happens, we have some protein at home.

The most anticipated fireworks of the year is going ahead but everyone is to stay at home to watch it. We cannot go out to the city to watch it in the fear the outbreak will get out of control. Only a handful of people is allowed into the city who has a permit to do so. The joy of the New Years Eve party is not the same. Last year we had the bushfire and that was a painful year for some who have lost their homes, animals perished and those like our family have had some health issues related to the bushfire.

As an essential worker, I thought overcoming the bushfire was the end of it. Our line of work at that time was to deliver services in record time to met the emergency needs in and around the affected areas. Once that settled, COVID19 came. Again, our work was then turned on turbo to deliver what could deemed as the impossible to meet the needs to help different departments to plan and combat COVID. It has been definitely a stressful year and start the year with a chance of a lockdown is something I am hoping not to happen but needed to stop the virus from spreading. None the less, I hope everyone are all safe and healthy in the year 2021.

The crappy 2020 is coming to an end, hope 2021 is a better and bigger year for us all! Enjoy your New Year Celebration~!

It has been such a shitty year, most have forgotten bushfire devastation, buildings blown to pieces up North, crazy antics of governments, sadly yes we are also in lockdown on Level 3 once again, with no sales of alcohol here in South Africa once again.

Make the most of it, hopefully enough positive vibes will keep up moving forward into whatever comes our what.

Happy New Year's Eve @travelgirl

Hello, it is very true this day does not feel with the same emotion as always. Because very heartbreaking things have happened this year for most of us. Wishing that the next year is better, greetings and blessings.
